Incorporate Spanish in your child’s
daily activities!
¡Hola!
Including Spanish resources into your child’s regular schedule is a great way to approach
bilingual education.
❖ How to use this resource:
❖
1. Print, cut each flashcard individually and laminate or put contact paper to
protect the paper.
Play with them:
- Matching game (print two sets!)
- Have your child organize one set of cards according to her routine
- Watch the video together and then have your child read the words in each
card.
- Read one of the words to your child or play the video then pause and have
your child pick the right card, have him/her say the word out loud.
2. Print the last two pages, laminate it and place it in a place where your child
will see it on a regular basis.
3. Review the video with your child every once in a while, and have her/him
share the vocabulary with a friend or a relative. You can find the video on
Instagram or Facebook @cedarhillkids_homeschool
4. Before laminating the cards cover the words with white paper then laminate
for your child to tell you the word, or simply use tape or paper to cover the
words and ask your child to tell you the right word.
5. Tell your child the words in English and have them tell you the Spanish
translation.
