    Records Management AssistantThe Records Management Assistant is responsible for the overall administrative duties related tograduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences from the time of admission through tograduation.Principal Duties and Responsibilities(1) Program Acceptance: process acceptances in Banner, create and send acceptance letters,apply holds, waivers, transfer credit, substitutions, and scholarships, assign advisor and Alt Pin,and record basis of admission. Track conditionally accepted students and process full acceptancewhen conditions have been met, send all newly registered students letters indicating emailaddress, Banner ID, Pin numbers etc.(2) Graduation: process graduation applications in Banner, evaluate program requirements andstudents' eligibility for graduation, communicate with Commencement Coordinator andRegistrar's office, create and send graduation letters and evaluations, re-evaluate and awarddegree in Banner after actual graduation date.(3)Active students: register new students for courses, process registration adds/drops, applyholds, process waivers, transfer credit, substitutions, scholarships, withdrawals and deferrals,process independent studies, monitor academic and transient petitions, track student grades andcreate "bad grade" letters and I grade notifications to students, manage student files physicallyand in Banner.(4)Graduate Workshops: process graduate workshop applications, registration, payment.(5)Student Retention: communicate with students regarding registration, follow up onadmitted/not registered students at the middle and end of each semester, follow up on studentswho have not registered for classes three weeks before the beginning of each new semester,

    follow up with active students who have not taken a course in one/two years once each semester,follow up with inactive students once each year to determine status, keep track of students'reasons for non-acceptance and withdrawal.(6)Faculty: work with faculty regarding additions to the schedule, independent studies, gradechanges, student issues.(7)Run enrollment reports for Associate Dean, Graduate Admissions Counselor, and DepartmentChairs as needed via Argos. Complete national surveys for Council of GraduateSchools/Graduate Record Examination (CGS/GRE) Survey of Graduate Enrollment and theNational Science Foundation Survey of Graduate Students and Post-doctorates in Science andEngineering.Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Office and Banner Knowledgeable of Argos (preferred) Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills Ability to Multi-task Ability to interact positively with students, faculty, and staff
