It provides the opportunity for these people to unite to plan, organize and orchestrate events, meetings, forums, seminars, and partnerships to advance economic development, education, transportation, communica- tion, workforce development, advocacy and the many other functions of the Chamber. On September 27th teams will tee off at Halifax Country Club. The tournament will be in a 4-man scramble format with tee times at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Although there are morning tee times available, the afternoon is full. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase your business while networking with fellow community and business leaders,” stated Chamber President Mitzi Mc- Cormick. “We also have some amazing prizes to give away for the closest to the pin, longest drive and a cash prize for the hole-in-one,” she continued. Birdie sponsors for the tournament include Danville Distributing, Dominion Energy-Clover Power Station, Fairfield by Marriott, and Wells Fargo Advi- sors. Proceeds will support Chamber programs and services and Workforce Services at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center, both vital to the future of Halifax County.
