Ryland Clark Hello Halifax County, my name is Ryland Clark and I grew up in Nathalie, VA. After graduating from Halifax County High School in 2005, I continued my education at N.C. State University pursuing my undergradu- ate degree in engineering. While at N.C. State, I worked with a group to start the first ever closed circuit TV station for N.C. State students. On this station, we organized student-produced content and aired live events. After graduation I took a job in Asheboro, NC at an injec- tion molding company as a quality engineer. While working I went back to N.C. State to complete my Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. I also obtained my masters in engineering management from Duke University. I always wanted to come back to my home in Halifax County. After finishing my masters I was offered a job at ABB allowing me to move back home. I currently serve as the Quality Assurance & Warran- ty Service Manager. I person- ally always want to make a place or situation better than when I first arrived which is why I enjoy being involved in the community. Since moving back to Hali- fax County in 2014, I have been involved with the local YMCA, the Halifax Young Professionals & Entrepre- neurs, and the Halifax Mentor Role Model Program. In 2015, I served as the Halifax Chris- tian School Head basketball coach. Through these groups and opportunities I hope to pour life, connections, and hope into our community through relationships with other groups and individuals in Halifax County. When I am not working you will find me involved in my lo- cal church, running, working out at the YMCA, or traveling.
