Marion County Country Ham Days
Be a Ham Days Sponsors!Being a Ham Days sponsor is a great way to promote your
business, support the event and support the Chamber. Ham Days sponsors are promoted on our website HamDays.com, on our very active Social Media platforms, in the local newspaper, and
from the Main Stage on Ham Days weekend. There are numerous ways you can support Ham Days, including

event listed at no charge!
We invite businesses, organizations,
churches, etc., to utilize this benefit
frequently.
Volunteers are needed in several Ham Days areas. Individuals, business, civic, school and church groups are encouraged to
volunteer to serve on the Country Store Restaurant Country Ham Breakfast line Saturday and/or Sunday. Eight servers are needed
per two-hour shift. Adult volunteers are needed at the Yellowstone Hot Air Balloon Glow Saturday night September 28
and the Limestone Branch Balloon Lift Sunday morning September 29 to assist balloonists. Volunteers are also needed in
the Ham Days Country Store Monday September 23rd through
Sunday September 29th. Anyone interested in volunteering for Ham Days is asked to contact the Chamber office at
270.692.9594.
Registration for the Farmers National Bank Pokey Pig 5K Run/Walk is now underway. The Farmers National Bank Pokey Pig
5K Run/Walk is one of the biggest Country Ham Days events attracting approximately 1,000 runners on Saturday morning
September 28th starting at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration is $20.00 for single, $16.00 each for groups of 20 or more and $50.00 for a
family of four. Race Day Registration is $25.00. Race Shirts are included for the first 1000 registrants. More information and
registration are available online at www.HamDays.com.
Preliminaries for the 2019 Central Kentucky Idol, sponsored by
WOKH 102.7 “The Rocket,” begin August 19th and will continue each week at different area locations. Two finalists from each
preliminary advance to compete in finals on the Maker’s
Mark/Independent Stave Main Stage Saturday September 28th for $1500 in prize money. Get the complete list of locations and entry

Shelter Insurance Ribbon CuttingPlease join us Thursday August 8th at 12 noon for the official Ribbon Cutting at the Shelter Insurance office of Johnathon Boles at 106 East Mulberry Street. Open House begins at 11:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served as well as door prize drawings.
Big Papa's Smokehouse Ribbon CuttingJoin us Saturday August 10th at 10 a.m. for the official Ribbon Cutting at the new Big Papa’s Smokehouse in the Lebanon Trade Center. The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
July Chamber LuncheonThe next Chamber Luncheon is Thursday, August 22nd at the Marion County Extension Office on Fairgrounds Road. The luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m. with lunch served promptly at noon. The speaker will be Russell Coleman, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky. The August sponsor is KORT. Please
