According to Architect Pedersen, he designed the 17 storey building of baruchs
university in a way that it can maximize the potential of the site though it is situated in a
very limited lot area and in a shape of rectangle. The campus consist of two colleges,
first is the Business courses and the second one is the Art and sciences. The Building
has two parts first is the podium that consist of recreational activities and the upper
floors which consist of lecture rooms, seminars, conferences and classes.
The vertical rectangle or the atrium serves as the heart of the building because it
incorporates different activities below. The atrium also has different bridges that allow
connection on different levels and on different sides. The atrium also act as a natural
illumination that lights up the whole interior spaces good for any activities though it is
just inside the campus.
