Winter is over and
spring has sprung!
Students and staff
are enjoying the
beautiful weather
and are taking
advantage of being
outside during
breaks and for some
Phys. Ed. periods.
After our break,
students and staff
have returned, ready
to charge forward to
the end of the year.
Our school breakfast
program is up and
running and we have
had many students
participate. Thorsby
Elementary has
received a donation
from DuPont
Pioneer to purchase
supplies, equipment,
and food items. We
are greatly
appreciative of their
support for our
program.
Great things
continue to happen
at Thorsby
Elementary.
Students are
continuing with their
academic pursuits,
and many classes are
supplementing their
programs with
valuable field trips.
Our parent
organization, TEPA,
is a key supporter of
fieldtrips by covering
the cost of
transportation of
one field trip each

Winning Streak
Last month there was a great group of students who worked with
Mrs. Jubinville in our Winning Streak. The students discussed the
concept of self-control. They were very knowledgeable and came up
with many different examples where they can use
self-control.
A big thank you goes out to the following students:
Muriel C. Keaton S. Dylan L.
Kierra M. Cameron D. Andres V.

EPCOR Share a Book Program—Grade 1M
The EPCOR Share a Book program provides new books and book bags to Grade 1 students across Northern Alberta and ensures the joy of reading is not limited to a student’s financial means. Books stir the senses and ignite a love reading that can last a lifetime and are essential to lifelong development. Since the program began, more than 14,000 books have been distributed to over 7,000 students. Ms. Mason’s grade one class was one of the lucky ones to receive a book bag! The books included in the bag are “Puckster's New Hockey Teammate and Give Me Back My Dad”. Thanks so much Edmonton Oiler Community Foundation and EPCOR!
