Due to a brand new football early signing period, Coach Kelly’s focus immediately turns to recruiting. For the first time, high school seniors can sign a National Letter of Intent (“NLI”) during a three-day period, starting December 20, 2017 at 7am (prospect’s local time) and ending on December 22, 2017 at 11:59pm. JC transfers intending to enroll at UCLA in fall 2018 as well as early high school graduates also can sign during this time. JC transfers planning to enroll midyear have a separate NLI signing period from December 20 through January 15. The regular football signing day remains in place (February 7) for those high school prospects who don’t sign an NLI during these three days in December. As UCLA supporters, please remember that recruitment of prospective student- athletes is the sole responsibility of the UCLA coaching staff, and boosters may not be involved in the recruiting process. NCAA rules forbid booster contact with the prospect or anyone associated with the prospect in an effort to persuade them to attend UCLA. No face to face contact, phone calls, emails, texts, tweets or other social media postings can be made with a recruiting purpose. Also, you cannot provide prospects with anything of value (cash, loans, gifts, services, etc.) that might be considered an inducement to persuade them to enroll at UCLA. In order to be eligible for membership benefits for the 2018-2019 year – benefits like priority seating, priority parking, and more – your annual donation must be received by June 30, 2018. A few points to remember when renewing your Wooden Athletic Fund membership: • If you renew your membership online before June 30, 2018, you will not only help the Wooden Athletic Fund reduce costs, but you will also receive an exclusive UCLA Bobblehead, the fifth in our series. • If you “Become a Champion” by upgrading your membership level at least one level from your current one, you will receive an exclusive Under Armour Wooden Athletic Fund hat, along with all the benefits of your new giving level. • If you refer a friend to join the Wooden Athletic Fund, your friend will receive an exclusive Under Armour Wooden Athletic Fund hat, and you will be entered to win a monthly prize.
