The fixturing manual is a pracitcalguide on how to create the fixturesand display units of DesignersGuild.This manual is designed to give you the informa-tion needed to create our unique display units. Itis vital that our look is recognized worldwide inorder to create a strong brand identity.

It is of equal importance that your display main-tains the highest standard to attract newcustomers and generate sales. We want ourcustomers to be inspired by our cutting edgedesign and this requires professional merchan-dising.

Please note that some items are standard sizeswhilst others can be modified to suit your spaceand products.

Wherever there is a Designers Guild display it is cruicial that our logo is clearly visible. This is the basis of creating a strong brand identity.

The logo can be produced in a suitable size to fit your space and displayed either horizontally or vertically, depending on the space.

We place logos on our display units for example lifestyle walls, home fragrance units, wallpaper display shelves and rug plinths.

A directory can help to clarify the products and services you offer and is normally displayed below the logo.

This pattern book table has been designed to store various sizes of pattern books and can be accessed from both sides. There is also a large pat-tern book trolley that fits under this table.

It should be constructed from MDF and spray painted in a white semi-gloss paint. The legs are steel and have a 60mm diameter. They can beordered from “Häfele”* and the part number is 635.11.970

This pattern book trolley has been designed to complement our large pattern book table. Like the table it has been made to store various sizes ofbooks and can be accessed from both sides.

It should be constructed from MDF and spray painted in a white semi-gloss paint. The wheels should be maximum of 40mm in diameter.

The display consoles are an additional tool for displaying finished product items and accessories.The console shoud be constructed from MDF and spray painted in a white semi-gloss paint.

sample hanger sys temThe sample hanger system is extremely versatile. Used either as one horizontal rail or stacked above each other.A one meter rail can take 50 sample hangers. Combined with images and display shelves they form an essentialand practical part of any showroom.

The rails should be 10/20mm stainless steel and the shelves spray painted in white semi-gloss paint.

Make sure that the shelves are well secured as they take a lot of weight.

The sample hangers are an ideal way to display our essential and upholstery fabrics in a clear and easilyaccessible way. Each hanger contains a plastic pocket which holds information about the relative fabric.

Waterfall hangers are another option for the hanger system which consists of a selection of colours of thesame fabric. This is useful for finer fabrics that are offered in a wide range of colours.

We suggest that you keep the display in colour group order with the fabric information facing out.

These multi purpose display bars are made from 15mm diameter stainless steel. They can be used to display trimmings andtie backs, blankets, bed linen and throws.

To support the bar properly it is recommended that at least 10cm of the bar is secured firmly within the wall.

This display tool has been designed to display half size rugs in a tidy pile.

The plinth is painted white with a Designers Guild logo and lettering in black gloss vinyl, which can be ordered from United Graphics*. It should be constructed from MDFand spray painted in a white semi-gloss paint. The plinth will need to be constructed with a centre support to take the weight of the rugs.

This unit is the ideal way to display the Designers Guild range of homefragrances. Consisting of four shelves, each with a mid-division, allowingyou to display the ranges in seperate groups. This creates a very cleardisplay.

The unit shoud be constructed from MDF and spray painted in a whitesemi-gloss paint. The legs are made from aluminium and measure35mm x 35mm x 160mm high.

This versatile panel is made from MDF and spray painted in a white semi-gloss paint. Theshelves combined with photographic images provide a strong product backdrop.This panel is ideal to display home fragrance and candles whilst showing relevant images toinspire the customer. It can also be used for books or paints, as shown opposite.

The measurements can be altered to suit your products. We do find, however, that the measurements shown below are ideal for acushion display.

The unit should be spray painted in a semi-gloss white paint. The feet should be 30mm x 30mm stainless steel.

Wallpaper display panels are an alternative method to show co-ordinating wallpapers within a display. These can either be used individually or as a pair.This is an excellent solution for areas that lack walls suitable for wallcovering.The panels should be constructed with MDF and painted in a white semi-gloss paint.

The wallpaper display wall allows you to exhibit two single wallpapers, one on each side, when there is no wall or space to lean a wallpaper boardagainst. It has a width of 50cm which is ideal for a single drop of wall covering. It works well as a back-drop to a small display area such as a singlechair. It can also be left freestanding with no additional props. The base is made from MDF spray painted in a semi-gloss white paint.

There are no stock item for the Royal Colelction display. There are still some general rules to be followed when dipslaying this range.Mainly, make sure that the Royal Collection logo is clearly displayed where you are showing this range weather it is in the window, a display area, awallpaper shelf or a trimming bar. The sample hangers and display boxes should all be in black. Please do not mix the Royal Collection with theDesigners Guild range.
