Director’s letterThe best of all worlds in a director’s life is having a well-cast play, a talented group of people to work with, and the means and support to bring the vision to life. The Addams Family Musical is the perfect mix of all these elements. I’ve been blessed with amazingly talented singers, dancers, actors, and a wonderful team to help create a phenomenal piece of living art. The icing on the cake is the perfect timing of the show presented in October over the Halloween weekend. Second to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite time of year simply because it is theatrical in nature, and the holiday cries out for special effects, fog, spooky lighting, costumes and zombie make-up! Everything I love! Growing up watching The Addams Family on television in black and white, I never dreamed that one day I’d be involved in a musical with these zany characters. I am honored to have been asked to direct for STAGE RIGHT and have thoroughly enjoyed this crazy and kooky journey . . . especially being able to work with a phenomenal group of people who have helped make this show its best. All of the incredibly talented people who have labored on the choreogra-phy, music, sound, make-up, hair, costumes, lights, special effects, props, set and scenery have been the most top-notch, professional people I have ever had the honor to work with. I am very proud of what everyone has accomplished and am so excited that all of you have chosen to come and enjoy it along with us! Get comfortable, let us entertain you and take Wednesday Addams’s advice to be “pulled in a new direction.” I think you’ll like it!
