Sarah Lancman Singer/Composer

Winner of the first prize of the Montreux International Jazz Voice Competition 2012 with a jury chaired by Quincy Jones.Sarah, Lancman is enthusiastic about Jazz since her childhood.

She discovers the piano at the age of 7. She then starts a classical training then a jazz one at the Paris conservatoire.

She becomes passionate about musical arrangement and composition. In 2010, she enters the "Haute Ecole de Musique- Departement Jazz de Lausanne" she takes Piano Jazz with Emil Spanyi and Singing with Susanne Abbuehl.

She attends several Master Classes where she meets: Benny Golson, The New York Voices...

Since then, She took part in several Swiss festivals and musical scenes such as Verbier, Ascona Jazz festival, Blue Ball Festival in Luzern( Young Talent Category).

In the Summer 2012, she performed with the HEMU Afro-Cuban group as pianist at the Parc Vernex.

Currently, she is preparing the recording of her first album.

Gaël Rakotondrabe Pianist/ Composer/ Arranger

Gael Rakotondrabe was born in Paris in 1983. He grew up on the island of “La Reunion” in a musical family. Disciple of Bernard Maury, founder of the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris, he plays from 2001 in many jazz ensembles. He becomes a pianist, composer and arranger of the band CocoRosie, with whom he goes on several international tours between 2007 and 2011.

In 2008, he wins the first prize in the Montreux International Piano Jazz Festival.

Since 2011, he is the musical director and pianist of the Robert Wilson's play :"The Life and Death of

Marina Abromovic" with Antony Hegarty and Willem Dafoe.He is a member of "Antony And The Johnsons" currently on an international touring. They play with the philharmonic orchestras of each city in which they perform.

Fabricio NicolasDouble Bass

Fabricio Nicolas was born in April 14th, 1981 in Caracas, Venezuela. He begins studying the violin then the guitar and the bass guitar. His interest in jazz grows gradually: at 18, he joins the ARPEJ in Paris jazz school where he meets French jazz musicians.Soon after, he begins performing on stage in many jazz clubs in Paris (New Morning, Sunset, Duc des Lombards ..). At the age of 19, he chooses the bass and begins practicing at the Conservatory of Cergy Pontoise with Francois Méchali, and also studies composition and musical arrangement.

After spending his instrument prize in Cergy, he joined the Jazz department and improvised music of

the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris in 2005. The department, headed by Riccardo del Fra allows him to meet and play with jazz musicians of the international scenes such as Dave Liebman, Miguel Zenon, Tony Malaby, Enrico Pieranunzi, Marc Johnson, Billy Hart, among others.Today, Fabricio plays as a bassist in several formations with highly varied musical styles. He often performs on French scenes.

Simon BernierDrums

Simon Bernier grew up in Britain, in a varied musical environment.

After a year of piano and guitar, he finds his way to the drums. in 2007, He joins for 2 years the Jazz class of St-Brieuc Conservatory (22) led by Jean-Philippe Lavergne.

Then he goes to Paris and integrates the Jazz class directed by Jean-Charles Richard at CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional) de Paris. This is an opportunity of highly exchange with musicians from diverse universes.

Currently, he plays in several bands in Paris and Brittany: Aman Byte (Jazz) Like Jam (Hip-Hop), Xavier Lugue Trio in Britain, Gildas Boclé some concerts with André Villéger, Gael Horellou, Michel Goldberg, Edward Bineau and Philippe Baden-Powell in Paris.

Since late 2011, Simon is part of the group Mina Agossi.
