17. Future Plans. sÀ«µÀå AiÉÆÃd£ÉUÀ¼ÀÄ:

1. Research Plans

To study educational, cultural, social, economic and political conditions of dalits, women, tribal, nomadic and backward classes

To document through video progressive and people’s movements and those who have participated in the movement

2. Extension Programmes Plans

Through this programme it is intended to reach Ambedkar’s thoughts under the titles “Ambedkar Thoughts and College Students”, “Ambedkar’s Thoughts in every village”, “Ambedkar’s Thoughts in Students Hostel”, “Ambedkar’s Thoughts in Schools” not only to the students coming under the Univesities but also to the general public with the help of other Universities.

Screening of films, documentaries, exhibition of photographs will be held besides arranging special lectures and open discussions to bring about awareness in the society.

Miracle-mongering will be exposed through programmes in order to bring about scientific and rational thinking in the general public as well as students.

3. Educational Programmes as part of Centenary of the University

It is intended to hold special lecture programmes in different departments with their co-operation on Ambedkar’s social, economic, political, religions, cultural and literary thoughts and these lectures will be brought in book form.

4. Development Plans of the Centre

An auditorium of 260 seats capacity is under construction and it will be completed this year. It is intended to build a Dalit Documentation Centre and a library. Centre for Buddhist Studies is also on the anvil.
