ResearchInterestMy research interest involves (i) Understanding the ecological chemistry of plants whichinfluence the presence of chemotaxonomical markers, (ii) Isolation and elucidation ofcompoundsfrommarineandterrestrialresourcesand(iii)Discoveryofbioactivecompoundsthru various screening platform. With rapid urbanization, I strongly believe the need forsustainable biodiversity resources for the benefit of humankind. Thus, I focus on lookingback tonature fordiscoveryofnewcompounds thatcanbedeveloped intodrugs to fightantibioticresistance, infectiousdiseaseandcancer.
