This week is SASS Appreciation week. We have many outstanding, wonderful, hard working and dedicated support staff working here in the school and I

would like to say a huge THANKYOU to all of you: Mrs O’Callaghan, Mrs Tadman, Di Cutmore (AEO), Mark and Ian - the grounds men, Jess, Donna, Jillian, Michael, Nina, Tanicia, Makeeta, Nash - the SLSO’s in the classrooms. We really appreciate everything you do for the students and staff here at Drummond.

The students all attended a presentation on Little Athletics this morning and were very interested in the information provided about the events and amazed at the

differences between the weights of equipment used by students in Primary school, High school and the adults in these field events. Please see the photo to the left.

Hopefully you had the opportunity to spoil dad, uncle or grandpa yesterday for Father’s Day. I would like to thank the P & C, especially Gaylia and the SRC

members for assisting with the stall last week. Don’t forget the P & C meeting this Wednesday night, 6pm in the staff room.

Thank you to the parents who returned notes for their child to attend the Day in the Dale - Council NAIDOC week celebrations this coming Friday.

We have been in contact with Council and they will NOT be providing Halel sausages at Curtis Park this Friday.

Please ensure your child brings their lunch if they cannot eat a beef sausage. The students will not be leaving school until after lunch so they can eat at school before they leave.

The senior excursion is creeping up quickly. Please ensure your payments are continuing so it isn’t a surprise next term.

Mrs Deiderick is currently attending training in Sydney regarding her Instructional Leader role – Literacy and Numeracy K-3 here in the school. She will then share

this training with the staff on her return. The staff are currently working on ICT on-line modules learning all about the new Science Syllabus as they are incorporating more ICT ensuring our students are covering the skills they will require.
