Beeches Golf Club News

Bruce Matthews, who designed Beeches Golf course, recently golfed there. The following is from a note he sent: “The golf course was terrific! The bunkers are the best bunkers on any of my courses. The staff is doing a great job inside and outside.”

Larry Bodtke recently took a prospective MBG/Naturipe customer through the fresh pack and to the Cattle Farm and Blueberry Valley. Afterward, the customer said, “Plant looked great and well run. The best field tour I have had ever! Product looked very nice. Anxious to start doing business.”

Remington Excavating News Congratulations to Steven Merchant! Steven passed his CDL training and testing on August 3.

Larry Bodtke was interviewed about a year ago for an article that will be published in the American Fruit Grower Magazine regarding crop pollination. The section in the article reads as follows:

Back in Michigan, Larry Bodtke finds additional benefits to keeping some natural areas for bees, “From a long-term perspective, we try and keep some woods around our fields or at least tree-lines. Those are good for several different reasons – it’s good for nesting [bees] and it also helps keep the wind down a little bit, and that’s good for bee flight and cold winter winds.”

Larry Bodtke fue entrevistado hace un año por un artículo que será publicado en la Revista American Fruit Grower con respecto a la polinización de cultivos. La sección en el artículo dice lo siguiente:

En Michigan, Larry Bodtke encuentra beneficios adicionales para mantener al-gunas áreas naturales para las abejas, "Desde una perspectiva a largo plazo, que tratamos de mantener un bosque alrededor de nuestros campos o por lo menos árboles líneas.
