MONTEREY-ET

29HO16955 VIEW-HOME

It’s extraordinary when a sire appeals to the most skeptical type and index critics, as well as those who manage the bottom-line. In this case, that

distinctive sire is 29HO16955 MONTEREY. This #1 GTPI

McCutchen son is one of the most complete sires

available today at +2665 GTPI and +736 NM$. These

high scores are driven by heavy component weights

and percentages with impressive health and fitness

traits. He has outstanding Type at +2.79 PTAT with nice

frames and well-attached udders at +2.79 UDC.

And that’s not all—MONTEREY is also one of the

highest ranking sires in the world at #8 for overall GTPI!

At Never Rest Dairy, Watertown, Wis., Ashley Schlender has been using Udder Comfort™ for several years, including now as the growing herd milks with 2 double-box robots.

“We start fresh cows by fetching them to the robot 3x/day, training them to milk automatically. That’s when we apply Udder Comfort 3x/day so they start off comfortable,” explains Ashley.

She and her husband Troy are third generation dairy farmers, forming Never Rest Dairy, LLC in 2006. They’ve been milking in robotic facilities since June 2014 at around 90 lbs/cow/day with SCC under 150,000.

“Udder Comfort makes fresh cows more comfortable. That’s important in any milking system, especially when training new cows and 2-year-olds to come to the robot.

“Udder Comfort takes the swelling out, so fresh cows milk more evenly. Also, we use the robot’s daily conductivity report to identify cows that may be subclinical so we can evaluate them and be proactive with Udder Comfort.”

Quality Udders Make Quality Milk

For external application to the udder only after milking, as an essential component

of udder management. Always wash and dry teats thoroughly before milking.
