2. WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE
ADVANTAGES OF THIS CMO WHEN
COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS
CMOS?
CMO 14 is more comprehensive than the previous
CMO 30. Concepts are specified and emphasis ismade on hospital-based setting. In addition, the
students are given opportunities to be exposed to
the various levels of healthcare with various client
groups in various settings. The students are made
aware of the competency-based approach and the
core competencies under the 11 key areas of
responsibility.

3. ARE THERE ANY DISADVANTAGES THAT
YOU HAVE IDENTIFIED/ENCOUNTERED
UPON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS
CURRENT CMO?
Well, on of the disadvantage is how subjects are
arranged especially Theoretical Foundation ofNursing which is offered in the 1st semester of the
of the 1st year where freshmen have no background
in nursing. Likewise, subjects like NCM 104 & NCM
105 are both offered in one semester which caused
congestion especially with additional subjects like
Research 1 and Elective.

students in all their academic needs. Make available all
resources including books and internet access to ease
