Incumbents may perform clerical services, equipment operation, basic maintenance and repair, materials handling, logistical support, and/or other related duties in accordance with the day-to-day requirements of the specified department or area. Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities The Services Coordinator typically reports to a Program Coordinator, Manager, or Director. This classification may train and guide student employees. Typical Functions 1. Oversees, coordinates, and performs computerized cash register sales transactions and cash management. 2. Monitors sales through the cash register, resolves discrepancies, prepares, reconciles, and records cash receipts for deposit. 3. Prepares reports. 4. Coordinates the issuing and disposition of stocks, supplies, and facilities used by patrons. 5. Provides information for customers on products and services. 6. Coordinates merchandising and marketing to generate sales. 7. Coordinates events, activities and in-store promotional efforts. 8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Summary

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Employees may work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. Employees often use repetitive hand motions and may be required to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) for distances greater than five feet. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions, such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting.
