    Intoxilyzer 8000

    To perform a test on the Intoxilyzer 8000 anofficer must have a valid permit.

    The first thing he will do is scan his ACCESS cardand put in his PIN or manually type in the

    information if he does not have his ACCESScard.

    The 8000 will check an internal data base toverify if your permit is valid, if not you will not be

    able to operate the instrument. It takes about fifteen minutes to delete an

    operator from the database across the state if heis disqualified for any reason.

    increase the reading by blocking the infra-red light.
