JFK AUTOPSY BY ABBY HUNT, MARISSA
THOMSEN, ROSALIE DIRIENZO
John F. Kennedy was shot and killed on November 23rd 1963 while riding in an open topped
convertible in Dallas, Texas. Many conspiracies followed as to who actually
shot JFK. Some believe it was a lone gunman, others believe that there was no way it could have been only one
person that shot JFK based on the angle of the bullet wound.
Lee Harvey Oswald, however was tried and convicted as the main shooter (or only shooter). Autopsy results came back inconclusive, claiming 'difference of opinion' among members 'as to this
probability'.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
• JFK’s autopsy was carried out at Bethesda Naval Hospital on November 22-23, 1963.
• Tests to determine from what angle JFK was shot were conducted.
• Critics claim that two different bullets caused the injuries• However the Warren Commission deemed that a single
bullet caused both injuries• It was also determined that JFK was shot from above and
behind. • Critics also speculate whether or not the autopsy photos
are accurate because there was no hair on the back of JFK’s head, it was blown off when he was shot.
