Grassroots Arts Program sub-grants for Lenoir County. Applications are available for non-profit organizations whose purpose is to

SUMMER CAMP PHOTOS
The Arts Center welcomes two new young artists to our artist family.
Kinston native Madison Mauck is an artist who recently graduated from the College of
Charleston in May 2016. She received degrees in both Studio Art and Historic
Preservation-Community Planning, and a minor in Art History. During Madison’s years in
school, she focused on painting, especially with acrylics. She enjoys the expressive nature of color to make her paintings come to
life, and derives most of her inspiration from the eastern part of the state and coastal region.
Jordan Exum is also from Kinston and is a graduate of East Carolina University in Art History and Appreciation. She recently received
a Master of Arts in Art History in May 2016 from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Jordan helped us this year as a
volunteer with summer camps and also volunteered with Anchor Splash. She will be assisting with exhibitions and other activities.
Jordan attributes much of her love of art to her recently deceased grandmother, Anita Exum.
