Kamaik’s key club has done an assortment of events in the past to

help our community. Events have ranged from volunteering at large

auctions such as at the future of flight to tutoring young children.

Current Events

Stuffed Animal Drive

We are collecting new or slightly used stuffed animals for Christmas House, an event where we give presents to low income families. Please turn them in by 11/19 or 12/3 .

Babysitting for Ell Class Key Clubbers babysit children while their parents are in a

n ELL Class. There are no requirements so please sign up. It is at 6708 Cady Rd, Everett, WA 98203 on Thursdays from 6-8pm.

Tutoring at Harbour Pointe Middle School An event where we help give back to our community by t u

toring students at Harbour Pointe Middle School. It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 pm. Please contact Ms. Erickson at

Teaching Koreans In this event, volunteers will teach Korean children from

preschool to 8th

grade. Volunteers are required to speak Korean. The event is held at the Slavic Baptist Church near Kamiak’s tennis courts: 4711 116th St SW, Mukilteo, WA Saturdays, 9:50 am – 12:00 pm 9/13 – 12/20

Mukilteo Elementary Library Volunteering

Key Clubber’s will assist the Mukilteo Elementary’s librarian by shelving and organizing books, assist ing with special projects, and helping students use the library resources! The event is on Mondays-Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 pm. There is a maximum of two people each day so If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Kartchner at [email protected].

Future Events

Christmas House

Volunteers help parents of low-income families Christmas presents for their kids. Please brighten the day of a child on Christmas by signing up and volunteering on 12/20 (Sat). Volunteers must be 16 years old or older.

Annie’s Kitchen

Key club members will volunteer at Annie’s Kitchen with Tri-M Honor Society. The event is held at Edmonds Lutheran Church 23525 84th Ave W, Edmonds, WA on Wednesday, Novemb

er 19t h

. We have two shifts. The first shift is helping set up from 3:30-5:30. The second shift is serving dinner from 5:30-8:00. This is a great way to serve your community!

Past Events

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Just recently we finish our Trick -or-Treat for UNICEF even

t were we collected money for our Eliminate project. Some of you must be thinking Eliminate project, what’s that? The Eliminate project ’s main priority is to aid the 118 mill ion women worldwide who have tetanus. Did you know that 1 baby dies every 9 minutes from Tetanus and that a tree vaccine dose costs only $1.80? If you want to help, you can donate at

or you can also partake in the fight against Tetanus by improving awareness about it.

Boo Bash Volunteers dressed up in their Halloween costume to create a safe environment for small children to celebrate Halloween at the Rosehill Community Center.

If you wondering what all our signs mean, both kamiak and Mariner are part of division 21 so our handsigns symbolize that. (Major hint for question 3 in Info Center)

Future of Flight Auction

At the Future of Flight Museum, volunteers aided the auction by sell ing raffles, recording bil ling information, and presenting auction items. The event allowed the Future of Flight’s executive board to inform people about their new STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). The new program served to improve the fine arts of students since in our region alone there are 15,000 jobs that are open because people are not qualified enough to have them. The board graciously matched each dollar donated by those who attended. As a result, they managed to raise $10,000 for their cause.

Breast Cancer Walk The event was held at Snohomish Cty. Courthouse Plaza 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett, WA on 10/4. The event was created to raise money for the Making Strides Against Breast nonprofit organization.

Plan Now

Key clubbers volunteered at Plan Now on 11/4. Plan Now was a counseling event where students went to gain more info about applying to college, writing an essay for college, and financial aid,

Zonta Club Auction

The “Forever in Blue Jeans” auction was held on November 1st for

the Zonta Club of Everett. It was held at the Everett Holiday Inn. The

primary purpose of the Zonta club of Everett is to improve the lives of

women and girls in the Snohomish County.

Speedway Cleanup

Key Clubbers cleaned the harbor point Boulevard of trash with our

Kiwanis (key club, but for adults) and helped make our community a

greener place.

Kamiak and Mariner Miracle Minute

Kamiak and Mariner worked together to raise $350 for the Mukilteo

food bank at one of games against each other.
