Building Information Modeling is the process of generating and managing building data and its various components throughout the building’s life-cycle. Using three
dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction, the process produces the Building Information
Model.
Unlike past 3D innovations in the building industry, BIM is more than a conceptual modeling tool. BIM encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships,
geographic information, quantities and properties of building components. When the modeling software is used by manufacturers and principals involved in a building
project, the resulting BIM is usable for fabrication. It involves ground-up reality rather than top-down theory.
In 2015, a team of entrepreneurs decided that BIM was a new age culture that would change the entire AEC industry. They called this dream “KNIGHT DESIGN"

Our Services4D Simulation :4D SIMULATION
The 4th dimension links construction planning with the element of “time”. 4D models allow customers to visualize and optimize project phasing and construction sequencing.
Creating Virtual mockups of a construction system design can increase the constructability of a complex building system and construction productivity on site by effectively planning and communicating the complexities of the process to all participants.
By linking timelines and of project task to model elements, we can create a complete simulation of the construction process form the demolition phase through owner move-in. This simulation can be used to inform critical planning decisions about construction methods, resource allocation, activity sequencing, site space utilization, etc

● Helps to simulate the sequential phases of a project before the construction phase.
● Helps to better manage the transition from the design phase to the construction phase.

5D Cost Estimation:5D Cost estimation
The 5th dimension links the 3D virtual model plus the 4th dimension of time with the element of “cost” (cost estimating and cost management). 5D models are related to the value of the different components of a building.
BIM models can be used to accurately generate quantity takeoffs and assist in the creation of cost estimates throughout the lifecycle of a project. Using BIM models in this manner enables the project team to see the cost effects of their design decisions and proposed changes during all phases of the project, and this feedback supports better design decision-making and can help curb excessive budget overruns due to project modifications.

BIM Content Creation:Creating contents for BIM like families and templates is also a very prominent part of BIM Services. Knight Design specializes in creating BIM families’ templates. Knight Design creates all types of Revit Families and templates across different trades. We create families and templates for Architectural, Structural as well as MEP. These families are parametric families containing Manufacturers Metadata in it. We excel in creating parametric families which changes its property as per the model.
Architectural Revit families: Door families, Window families, Furniture and fixtures, sanitary ware, Kitchen accessories, Walls, ceilings and so on.
Structural Revit Families: Beam Families, Column families, Trusses, Joist families, foundation families and so on. These Revit families are not only created or developed for Steel structures but also for wooden structures, RCC and others.
MEP Revit Families: We also create Revit Families for Mechanical (HVAC) Models, Electrical Models and Plumbing Models.
