I have been asked by one of the resident trainees atour University, Dr. Simon Sanchez, to write a letter of recommendationon his behalf to the Society.

I am embarrassed by the request, as I am unable to attestto either his training ror his ability in EEG. He did not attend myseminars, nor has he workéd in my laboratory. He has worked with oneof my students, Dr. Abrams, who has never participated in a welldefined training program in EEG. I do not know the ability of Dr. Su.

For this reason, I have written.to Dr. Sanchez suggestingthat he obtain letters from his immediate supervisors.
