Lutterworth for business Lutterworth is an attractive market town at the southernmost tip of Leicestershire. The town is famous for its connections with John Wycliffe, who inspired the translation of the Bible into English whilst serving as Rector of Lutterworth, and Sir Frank Whittle who developed the jet engine in the town in the years after 1938. For all its interesting history, Lutterworth is very much a modern town. The town is ideally situated at the heart of the country’s road network and is well placed for accessing train links and airports. This location at the hub of the motorway network led to the creation of Magna Park, Europe’s biggest distribution centre, just to the west of the town. Lutterworth has a fine historic centre, three high street banks, and a good stock of office and industrial accommodation. In and around the town there is an excellent range of places to eat and drink, and a selection of hotel accommodation. The town has many leisure opportunities, including a modern sports centre, numerous local sports clubs and a golf course. The town benefits from good schools and is an appealing location being surrounded by quiet countryside and attractive villages. Business Magna Park, a large distribution hub for many of the country’s major businesses, is located close to the town. It is home to household names such as Disney, Asda, Toyota, Argos and many more. The town also has a varied selection of industrial units and office accommodation that can cater for both small and medium sized businesses. The most significant office development of recent years is the St John’s Business Park located at the southern entrance to the town, close to Junction 20 of the M1. Retail space is popular, but there are regular opportunities for both purchase and lease. Population Lutterworth has a population of approximately 10,000 people. It is unique amongst rural centres in Leicestershire in having a daytime population that is greater than the evening population. This is caused principally by employment at Magna Park, the large school population and other significant local employers. The proportion of residents in professional and managerial occupations is higher than the national average. Research suggests that residents have relatively high levels of potential expenditure.

LutterworthRoadLutterworth has an enviable location in the centre of the countryand is situated just to the west of Junction 20 of the M1, and afew miles from Junction 1 of the M6. Other major routes such asthe A5 and A14 are nearby.

RailLutterworth is close to two mainline stations. Rugby services thewest coast line and London Euston, and Market Harboroughservices the east coast line and provides a direct link to theEurostar trains that depart from London St Pancras. Nearbystations at Narborough and Leicester connect to other stations inthe Midlands.
