Since then I have rewritten this letter twice as new devel opments have arisen. Things have happened so fast we can hardly keep up with them. For over two years we have been searching for more property than at our present site and in as good a location. We have climbed many steep hillsides and descended countless damp steps, but at each place Jesus seemed to say "no, " There always seemed to be something standing in the way. About a week ago we were looking at a piece of property that was not suitable when we became aware of a large adjoin ing area with an old, much-used home, and several large unused buildings. This property extended from the street to high up the mountainside. Since it was not listed for sale we put it out of our minds. That evening during a meditation period this property popped into my mind, and I asked the Lord to make it available if it was His will for us to have it. The following Saturday we saw a property advertised that seemed to have possibilities. As we had so many times before, we phoned the real estate agent. Within half an hour the agent had taken us to this very property that I had asked King Jesus to make available. When we were introduced to the owner, an older man who could no longer keep up this valuable land, he told us that he'was a Christian and had been praying that the Lord would bring someone who would buy his land for a good purpose and who woiald use it effectively. He was thrilled that we were interested. When we looked at the property thoroughly we found that it was exactly what we needed so badly, so we asked the agent to draw up a contract, knowing that the Lord had led us to the property, and that you, the Lord's people, would be anxious to have us follow His leading. This property is less than four blocks from our present site and on the same major thoroughfare. It consists of 177 feet of frontage on Tenth Avenue with 2 1/4 acres behind it up the mountainside. There are four level terraced areas and then a fairly steep slope which would make a wonderful climbing playground. This will provide all the space we will need for building a church and day-care center, plenty of parking space which is mandatory for public buildings, a parsonage, plus unlimited recreational space for the chil dren and youth of the church. On Monday we signed a conditional sale contract for $95,000, This seems to be a lot of money, and it is, but our present property will sell for about $4 per square foot, and the 2 1/4 acres will cost less than $1 per square foot. We have 60 days to sell our present property which will provide the $28,000 down payment plus giving us some cash to make the old building usable for a house of worship. Our present site is in such a good location that it should not be difficult to sell. We previously had an offer of $35,000 for it. Truly, this must be the doing of the Lord, There will be no payments due until the first of the year when we will be gin paying $600 per month. In order to save the Lord's money we know you, the Lord's people, will rise to this need at this time and make generous contributions so that we will not have to borrow so much from a bank at the high rate of interest charged now. If you cannot contribute, do you have some money that is not being actively used right now, that you would be willing to loan us for a few years per haps or until our day-care center shows a profit. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity for doing great things for God, fill out the attached envelope, and send it to us. May the Lord guide your decision.

Dear Fellow-Citizens of the Kingdom,

Greetings in the name of King Jesus I What a privilege it is to be a citizen of theheavenly kingdom, and have such a King who is constantly alert to provide us onlythe best things from His vast storehouse. I wrote these sentences for the firstdraft of this newsletter, little realizing how amazingly more true they-would prove -to be in another week. Since then I have rewritten this letter twice as new devel

For over two years we have been searching for more property than at our presentsite and in as good a location. We have climbed many steep hillsides and descendedcountless damp steps, but at each place Jesus seemed to say "no, " There alwaysseemed to be something standing in the way. We are delighted to be able also to announce that, the Lord willing, we will have ateacher for the school. Miss Deborah Blazer, who is here as a summer intern, will receive her degree, Bachelor of Christian Education, in June of 1971 fromOzark Bible College, Then she plans to return as Director of Christian Educationin the Palolo Valley Congregation, and as a teacher in our Pre-School, You maywrite to Deborah at Ozark Bible College, 1111 North Main, Joplin, Mo. 64801,She will be available for speaking engagements in the area to explain her plansand she can give you first-hand information about this property. She also plans tobe at our booth at the 23rd National Missionary Convention at Champaign-Urbana,Illinois, November 24-27, 1970. Plan to visit with her - there !

We had three weeks of VBS this year--one week for the Intermediate andBS|;hSchool youth who would be teaching during the two week session. With the help ofour summer worker we had a full staff for the first time, with a teacher and hhlperfor each of five classes, plus a pianist, secretary who prepared the refreshments, and since I was not teaching this year I served as bus driver and was free to provide"on-the-spot" advice to our inexperienced teachers.

We are so thankful for those who have sent sufficient offerings for our bus so thatwe have not had to make payments from the general fund. The big, reliable buswas really appreciated during VBS when I drove about 25 miles before eachsession to bring the children.

We pray that the Lorjd will bless the efforts in the Kingdom where you serve. Please pray for us. Sometimes it seems that we are only Davids battling thegiant Goliath, but we know that we will succeed as David did when we fight in theLord's strength.

Yours for building the Kingdom,

Charles C, Luttrell and family: Henrietta, Amy, Leta, Mark, Philip, and Lora

We have been serving the Lord in Honolulu since July,1962, We live in the part of the building to the rightand the classes meet there, too, while the section onthe left is our worship auditorium. This building occupies most of the small lot. The old wing to theright needs extensive repair due to termites. It hasbeen our desire to go into a day-care work in order tocontact new families, to meet a vital community need, and to help make the work self-supporting. This present site is too small to permit this, so we have look

ed for over two yearsfor a larger piece ofproperty. You may

have read that we have

finally found an idealplace (see other side). It is the only sizeablepiece of land left in thevalley which is easilyaccessible. We are

sure that the Lord made

it known to us, $1000has been paid to hold it.

THE NEEDS:

$28,000 for a down payment. An interested party isnow seeking to make financial arrangements to buy thepresent property which will give us sufficient cash tomake the down payment. After the down, payment ismade, $600 monthly payments must be met.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

By your contribution or loan of a definite amount each month.By approaching your church, class, or mission group to put these needs in their

budget, or take an offering for this purpose.By PRAYING that the Lord will lay this need on the hearts of those who love Him

enough to make the necessary sacrifices to accomplish this project for Him !

Please do not lay this aside until you have fervently prayed for the Lord to lead youin the way that you can help fill this need. Will you trust Him to provide the meansso that you can send an offering? Gifts of $10,000, $1000, $100, or $10 are urgentlyneeded NOW! We must not let this door close which the Lord has opened.

Yours to follow His leading.
