The magazines will use bright colours, contrasting or earthy colours as these go nicely together with out clashing or making the music seem dull or to bright and bouncyTeens/ young adults are the intended audience for these magazines as hip hop is quite a new genre of music and wont really appeal to the older generation.Symbols and chunky fonts will be used through out the magazine as hip hop is bold and big in the music industryThere will be articles about new songs and new artists, old artists.

 Metal:Will have bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Slipknot on the front cover, They will use dark colours, browns and blacks. The target audience is teens and young adults (generally male) Logos and themes you will generally see in a Heavy metal/ Rock magazine are things like Leather, skulls and guitars. Articles found in these magazines are about new bands, old bands, new songs/ album releases. Red is also used in the magazines as text to stand out from the background which is generally dark. There are more group photos in these magazines as the heavy metal and rock style music is made by bands rather then a single artist. Meaning there are more long shots and mid shots rather then close ups.

Classical:Classical themed magazines use more natural colours and is a lot more simple in design and layout rather then being over the top and cluttered. The magazines will have information about famous orchestra or composers and may have interviews and reviews on the music and composers. The target audience is more the older generation as classical is more popular with the older generation then today’s teenagers.The photos have use of classical buildings in background and the people are seen wearing suits and rather expensive looking dresses.The magazine is a lot more formal then any of the others, as it is a more formal form of music. It will have articles about instruments, old and new compositions, old and new muscions/orchestras
