Welcome to FUNDRAISING in the community MEDIA’s monthly newsletter.
We’re thrilled to be able to bring you all the latest ‘in the community’ through our brand new monthly newsletter. We’ve had an amazing start to the year and it’s all been down to YOU! So, thank you everyone for your support and sharing our belief that together we can celebrate a meaningful community of people who want to be their best, who care deeply about one another and who want to see each other succeed.

With a BANG!
As we polish off the last of the kid’s Trick or Treat sweets (shh!) FITC Media are looking forward to a few fireworks and
setting the month off with a bang…(weather permitting of course! We’re keeping our gloved fingers crossed that the rain subsides!)…and as we all get ready to tuck in to our
freshly spun Candy Floss and to watch the brilliantly organized entertainment and firework events that are going on within our communities, please remember to keep safe; We’ve seen a few people suggesting poking sparklers in to carrots for little hands to hold and also keeping dogs, cats and other pets safe in the comfort of their own homes, with
toys to distract them and a telly or radio on to cancel out some of the noise, which we think is a great idea as even the
most spook-proof of animals can be unpredictable and nervous at times.
One local event that really did catch our eye is Bristol’s FREE FROM Festival…UK’s 1st Food Festival that focuses on people that are living their life ‘free from’ things like gluten, dairy or refined sugar @ Brunel’s Old Station Clock Tower Yard, Approach Road, Bristol (an Eventbrite.co.uk event) We expect this festival to be a massive success! Well done to Eventbrite; we cant wait : )

We are trying to raise money for a new heating system too and we are still raising money through The Giving Machine where you can raise funds for us just by ticking a box when you are doing your ordinary online shopping. Please come and speak to us if this is something that you wouldn’t mind signing up for as every small amount raised makes a huge difference to us!

Last month we asked if you could ‘Step Up’ for STEP UP’ as Step Up Preschool in Dilton Marsh were appealing for your support.
Their sponsored fundraising for new windows was going really well and they had managed to raise half the money with work due to start over the October Half Term. Step Up appealed to our family members and friends to see if they were able to help by sponsoring part of a, or a whole, window. And any amount would be gratefully received and the sponsors would have their name included on their special wall hanging as well as local businesses being thanked on their Facebook page. Well evidently their efforts worked well as the support of the local community has seen them wave goodbye to their old windows! Yay! See their Facebook page for more details @stepuppreschoolwestbury
