Epiphany Water Blessing ReturnsOn Friday evening, Jan. 5th, the Vigil of the Epiphany, we will cel-ebrate the blessing of holy water in a special liturgy from the tra-dition of the Eastern Church. Participants are invited to bring yourwater in gallon or large containers to be blessed. Each one mustbe blessed individually by the priest. Be sure to mark the contain-ers with your name so that you can retrieve them after the blessing.

Fall Harvest Food Drive Our Fall Harvest food collection was a great success! The 4,364pounds of food that we collected was donated to St. Lucy Projectfood bank for distribution to needy people throughout the Dioceseof Arlington. Thank you for your great support!

Christmas Food CollectionThis year, we will be sharing a large portion of our Christmas foodcollection with Damien Ministries, for distribution from their foodpantry to poor and needy people in Washington, DC. Please takea bag this weekend and return it on the 16th or 17th with as manyof the listed items as you can donate.

Saint Mary’s Christmas OutreachPlease plan to help with collecting, sorting and wrappinggifts brought to Farrell Hall during this weekend and tohelp sort the Christmas food collection on Dec. 17th.

The Car MinistryIf you have a used car to donate, please consider The Car Ministry,a charitable agency that processes and repairs donated vehicleswhich are given at no cost to needy families and persons who cansupport a car and who have been referred by pastors and socialworkers. These vehicles transform people’s lives because trans-portation allows them to obtain employment in places that werepreviously inaccessible and it makes them self-sufficient becausethey now have a means to get to work.
