Welcome Our evolving festival returns today for its third year at Normandale Community College! We’ve begun a move toward food truck service over internal catering to feed our guests—it was a late change in our planning process this year, so I hope next year will see more trucks serving our event, and that food will be accessible to everyone this year. South Metro Authentic Martial Arts and koto player Fern Davidson are new performers joining us this year, and we’re going to try bringing our taiko and dance performances into the Garden Room in the Student Center to save everyone the walk

to the auditorium—if you’re not familiar with the campus, it can be a little difficult to find. On a personal note, I’m proud to say I was married in the Garden only a week ago today. The Garden has been a big part of my life since I was a child, and I’m so happy to deepen my connection to this unique and beautiful space.

The Campus Today’s program takes place in the Kopp Student Center and the Activities buildings, with the garden open through the day for all to enjoy.

The Activities building gymnasium, hosting our martial arts demonstrations, is accessible outside via the walkway from the Kopp Center on the northern side of the campus past the garden’s gate, and via tunnel from the Jodsaas Science Center.

The Garden Room off of the cafeteria in the Student Center will host our musical and dance performances, with the new addition of Fern Davidson performing on the koto in the Overlook Cafe one floor above.

Boutique and display tables will be located on the second floor of the Kopp Student Center.
