NBX TRADE DOLLARS VS. CASH EXPENSES

CASH EXPENSES: WHERE TO EXPECT THEM

In order to keep trade fair and working to the benefit of all involved, and also to practice trade in compliance with state and federal tax laws, on certain trade purchases you may encounter applicable cash expenses, taxes and/or fees. Shipping and handling is universally paid in cash. Tips for personal services such as spa services, tips for restaurant servers, etc are to be paid in cash at the time service is received.

LABOR VS. PARTS & MATERIALS: Typically a mechanic, contractor and most other labor based professionals offer their labor on trade. Unless otherwise agreed upon, it is to be understood by all parties that parts or material associated with the completion of any job on trade will be either provided by the member seeking service, or paid directly to the member providing the service to cover or reimburse his cash expenses for completing the job.

*When parts and/or materials required for your specific project are available on trade you will be able to complete an entire project with no associated cash expenses.

All members providing services that incur a cash expense to the member seeking service should be able to furbish documentation in the form of purchase receipts for parts and materials, or establish reasonable consideration for such expenses incurred, such as gas for travel, etc.

TO REDUCE CASH EXPENSES

BASIC MEMBER BENEFITS

Barter improves corporate profitability by introducing a company’s product into the

barter marketplace and using revenues gained from the

transaction to obtain products services that would normally

have to be purchased with cash.

But not only are you saving the out-of-pocket cash expense. Most of the time you are getting the

things you want at a HUGE DISCOUNT… here’s how:

A must read: We will use a restaurant in this example. Say we have a restaurant purchasing

airtime or carpet cleaning or any service for that matter. Let's say the price of that service is $100

(100 trade dollars). Well of course the have sold $100 worth of meals to earn those trade dollars.

BUT keep in mind their actual cost to provide those meals was $30. THEREFORE... though they

paid the fair market value of what they bought, they actually obtained it at a 70% discount!

* formula works for any business on every purchase!
