Dear Troll friends,It is a pleasure to be able to announce that from now on the Troll Club will be run by Brødrene Flaarønning AS. We started up the club in 1997, and managed it up through the end of fall 2001. The manufacturer then decided to take over the club themselves, but they have now made an administrative change at the factory, and in this context they would like to have us - as the worldwide distributor - run the club from now on. And that we are of course very glad to do!We know that it is still popular to collect our trolls, and we would like to breathe new life into the club. Un nouveau départ pour le club TROLL

Chers amis des trolls.Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer que le club TROLL sera dorénavant dirigé par Flaarønning Frères, S.A.Le club fut créé par nos soins en 1997 et dirigé jusqu’à l’automne 2001. Le fabriquant souhaita alors en prendre lui même la direction, mais il vient d’effectuer des changements administratifs dans l’entreprise, et à l’occasion il souhaite que nous, en tant que distributeurs mondiaux, reprenions la direction du club. Et cela, bien sûr, nous le souhaitons beaucoup.

Nous savons qu’il est toujours populaire de collectionner nos trolls, et nous souhaitons redonner vie au club. Nous espérons pouvoir intéresser les collectionneurs avec des textes nouveaux et amusants et les tenir au courant des nouveautés. Ein neuer Anfang für den Trollklub

Liebe Trollfreunde,Es ist uns eine Freude mitteilen zu können, dass der Trollklub von nun an von der Gebrüder Flaarönning AG (Brødrene Flaarønning AS) geleitet wird. Wir haben den Klub 1997 ins Leben gerufen und bis einschließlich Herbst 2001 betreut. Danach hat der Produzent die Leitung des Klubs auf eigenen Wunsch übernommen. Jetzt jedoch, in Verbindung mit einer administrativen Veränderung im Betrieb, wünscht der Produzent, dass wir als weltweit agierender Vertreiber den Klub erneut übernehmen. – Und das machen wir natürlich gerne!

Wir wissen, dass unsere Trolle immer noch gerne gesammelt werden und wollen den Klub deshalb neu aufleben lassen. Wir hoffen, dass wir Dich, den Sammler, mit aktuellem und amüsantem Lesestoff unterhalten können, und dass Du über alle Neuigkeiten auf dem Laufenden gehalten wirst.Als der Klub zuletzt von uns betreut wurde, haben wir sehr viele schöne Bilder und Geschichten von unseren Klubmitgliedern erhalten, und wir hoffen, dass Ihr auch weiterhin Eure großen und kleinen Trollfreuden mit uns teilt.

Im Jahr 2003 haben wir für 2002/2003 einen Klub-Troll herausgegeben.

Cari amici dei Troll,e’ un piacere potervi annunciare che d’ora in poi il Troll Club sarà gestito dalla Brødrene Flaarønning AS.Abbiamo fondato il club nel 1997 e lo abbiamo gestito fino all’Autunno del 2001, quando il produttore decise di occuparsene in prima persona. Ora però c’è stato un cambiamento organizzativo all’interno della fabbrica e ci è stato proposto, in qualità di distributori internazionali, di tornare a gestire il club. E naturalmente siamo felici di farlo! Sappiamo che è sempre molto di moda collezionare i nostri troll, e vorremmo infondere nuova linfa nel club. Il nostro obiettivo è di intrattenere voi collezionisti con nuovo e divertente materiale, ma anche di tenervi aggiornati sulle novità.Occupandoci del club abbiamo ricevuto dai soci molte simpatiche fotografie e storie piacevoli. The NyForm Troll Collectors Club is an international club for troll collectors, and membership is open to anybody who likes trolls. We plan to continue presenting a unique troll each year, which will be valuable because it will be produced only as a limited edition for collectors of NyForm Trolls. The only way to obtain this troll is to buy the Club Pack from one of the NyForm Troll dealers.The Club Pack contains information on how to register as a member of the club.

Le troll à la lampeRetrouvez le troll de l’année de notre club. Lorsque nous l’avons rencontré pour faire cette photo, ce troll joyeux était sorti chercher ses nombreux enfants trolls qui jouaient dehors. Comme ils adorent se cacher entre les petits amas de mousse dans la forêt, il n’est pas facile de les retrouver car leurs couleurs les font presque disparaître dans la mousse. C’est pourquoi il apporte maintenant sa nouvelle lampe que ses enfants lui ont offerte à Noël.

We would also like to point out that the Ny Form trolls are very popular among collectors all over the world. Our trolls are known to be well behaved and good-natured. However, they are as sensitive as any human being, so treat the trolls with respect and compassion.

Of course, a single troll will get lonely. Vorremmo anche sottolineare che i Troll Ny Form sono molto conosciuti tra i collezionisti di tutto il mondo, che ne apprezzano il buon comportamento e l’indole gentile. Sono sensibili proprio come gli esseri umani, quindi vanno trattati i troll con rispetto e comprensione.

Naturalmente un troll solitario diventerà malinconico. Un buon consiglio è semplicemente di fargli compagnia con altri troll della stessa famiglia. Secondo la leggenda i troll si pietrificano se sono esposti alla luce del sole, e quindi è buona norma tenere il vostro Troll Ny Form in una zona della casa ben al riparo dalla luce diretta. Ricordate, questi troll non sono giocattoli e non devono essere usati come tali. Per favore trattateli con riguardo: create un ambiente adatto a loro in un bel posto sicuro nella vostra casa, fuori dalla portata dei bambini piccoli. Le montagne e le foreste con i fiumi e i laghi sono l’ambiente naturale dei troll, e perciò essi sono molto attenti a tutto ciò che riguarda la natura. Prendetevi cura dell’ambiente dovunque andate e qualsiasi cosa facciate, e cercate sempre di proteggere l’habitat dei troll, che vi saranno eternamente riconoscenti. Trattateli bene, ed i troll saranno sempre dalla vostra parte.Secondo la leggenda la presenza di un troll nella vostra casa è di buon auspicio e porta serenità e fortuna.

Troll daysEvery year in the Ny Form trolls’ hometown there is a troll festival at the end of June, and this year the festival will be held on June 24-26. The festival is called Troll Days at Tynset, and you can really experience trolls there: a troll procession, trolls in the streets, trolls in the stores, trolls outside of the stores, music in the streets, outdoor refreshments at several locations in the village, competitions and the awarding of the “Troll-wife Prize” (read more about the prize on page 11).

During Troll Days there’s something going on all weekend, and there is a lot of activity in the village. In addition to trolls you’ll find a lot of stalls selling Norwegian handicrafts, auctions will be held, and a variety review will be performed.The pictures show happy trolls at Tynset Market in 2003.

Nuevo comienzo para el clubCada año, hacia fines de junio, se realiza en el pueblo de los trolls Ny Form, el Festival de Trolls. Les journées troll Tous les ans à la fin juin, au village natal des trolls Ny Form, est tenu le festival troll, et cette année la date est fixée au 24, 25, et 26 juin. Le festival porte le nom de Trolldagan, à Tynset, et là vous pourrez vraiment rencontrer des trolls. Défilé de trolls, sentier troll dans les rues, trolls en boutique, trolls en dehors des boutiques, musique dans la rue, consommation en terrasse à plusieurs endroits dans le village, concours et distributions du prix «Mère troll» (lire page 11 concernant ce prix).

Au cours des Trolldagan il se passe quelque chose tout le week-end, et le village est en pleine activité. En plus des trolls on y trouvera de nombreux étalages de vente d’artisanat norvégien, des ventes aux enchères et on pourra assister à la représentation théatrale annuelle. Die TrolltageIm Heimatort der NyForm Trolle findet jedes Jahr Ende Juni ein Trollfestival statt. Dieses Jahr ist der Termin für die Veranstaltung am 24., 25. und 26. Juni. Das Festival wird „Die Trolltage von Tynset” genannt und hier hat man die Möglichkeit, Trolle in ihrer ganzen Vielfalt zu erleben: Troll-Aufmärsche, Troll-Paraden in den Straßen, Trolle in und vor den Geschäften, Straßenmusik, Biergärten an verschiedenen Stellen im Ort, Gewinnspiele und die Verleihung des „Trollweibpreis”. (Mehr dazu auf Seite 11).

Während der Trolltage ist das ganze Wochenende lang etwas los, im Ort herrscht große Aktivität. Neben den Trollen gibt es viele Verkaufsstände mit norwegischer Heimkunst, Auktionen und die Aufführung der jährlichen Revue.

Concerning geographic names: Some believe that the first line must end with a place name. This is incorrect. If you use a geographic name, it should however be real, as anything else is cheating.

In addition: A good limerick can be characterized by fanciful use of words, deft line transitions and originality, together with a funny, good or absurd point, a curl in the tale of the fifth line.

A limerick is a five-line verse with a fixed form and a fixed rhythm. If the form, rhythm or rhyme scheme are not complied with, the verse is NOT a limerick!

Te gusta escribir? Entonces no lo dudes más. Toma tu lápiz y escribe una quintilla sobre trolls. El texto debe estar escrito en inglés, para que todos puedan entenderlo y para que exista la posibilidad de reproducirlo en la revista. Seleccionaremos un ganador, que recibirá un hermoso ejemplar del troll número 275. Este troll está descontinuado, por lo que ya no es posible conseguirlo en el mercado. Naturalmente, la quintilla ganadora será publicada en la revista del club junto a otras cinco buenas quintillas que hayamos recibido. ¡Buena suerte!

Las reglas para el concurso de quintillas son las siguientes:1. Una quintilla consiste de 5 versos. La primera, segunda y quinta línea han de rimar. 2. Los versos han de estar ordenados de modo que no queden juntos tres con la misma consonancia y que no tengan la mism los dos últimos.

Sobre los nombres geográficos: Hay quienes creen que la primera línea debe terminar con el nombre de un lugar. Esto no es correcto. Si se usa un nombre geográfico, este ha de ser auténtico; todo lo demás es trampa. Por lo demás: Una buena quintilla tiene que estar caracterizada por la fantasía en el uso de las palabras, transiciones apropiadas entre cada línea y originalidad, además de tener una idea central graciosa, buena o absurda. Algo así como un giro en la cola de la última línea.

Una quintilla es un verso de cinco líneas caracterizado por una forma definida, con un ritmo igualmente definido.

Si la forma, el ritmo o la métrica no son respetados, el verso NO será una quintilla.

Schreibst Du gerne?Dann zögere nicht! Finde einen Stift und schreibe einen Limerick über Trolle. Der Text muss auf Englisch sein, ganz einfach deshalb, damit wir ihn verstehen können, und die Möglichkeit haben, ihn hier im Heft abzudrucken. Der Gewinner erhält ein tolles Exemplar von Troll Nr. 275. Dieser Troll wird nicht mehr produziert. Dies ist also die letzte Gelegenheit, einen solchen Troll zu bekommen. Der Sieger-Limerick wird selbstverständlich zusammen mit fünf weiteren gelungenen Limericks, die uns zugesandt werden, hier in unserem Klubheft abgedruckt. Viel Glück!

Hier die Regeln für den Limerick:1. Ein Limerick besteht aus fünf Versen. Vers eins, zwei und fünf müssen sich reimen, ebenso Vers drei und vier.2. Kein Vers darf mit einer betonten Silbe beginnen; sie müssen immer entweder mit einer oder mit zwei unbetonten Silben beginnen.

Vi piace scrivere ? Allora non c’è motivo di esitare! Prendete la penna e scrivete un limerick sui troll. Il testo deve essere in inglese, perché tutti gli appassionati che leggono questa rivista lo possano capire. Sarà selezionato un vincitore, che riceverà in premio un bellissimo esemplare di troll n° 275. Questo troll è oramai fuori produzione, quindi questa è l’ultima possibilità di procurarsene uno. Il limerick vincente sarà naturalmente pubblicato sulla rivista del club insieme agli altri 5 migliori limerick ricevuti. Buona fortuna!

Ecco le regole per scrivere un limerick:1.Un limerick è composto da 5 versi in cui il primo, il secondo ed il quinto devono essere inrima, e così pure il terzo ed il quarto. 2. Nessun verso deve iniziare con una sillaba accentata; deve sempre iniziare con una o due sillabe disaccentate. Esempio:




Nomi geografici: Alcuni credono che il primo verso deve finire con il nome di un luogo. Questo non è corretto. Se si usa un nome geografico, deve comunque essere autentico, altrimenti è un trucco. Altri suggerimenti: Un buon limerick si può riconoscere da un linguaggio fantasioso, dall’abile passaggio da un verso all’altro e dall’originalità, con in più una caratteristica divertente o paradossale, un “svolazzo” nel testo del quinto verso. Un limerick è composto da 5 versi con forma e ritmo fissi. Se non si rispettano la forma, il ritmo e la struttura del ritmo, la poesia NON è un limerick !

Gunnar Hindal has worked at Ny Form since May 12, 1976 – nearly 30 years! He casts troll moulds, and there’s really no doubt that he enjoys his work. He himself says that he thinks his job is fun and exciting, and he has a very good rapport with trolls. His favorite is number 284, the troll with a fish. In the winter he likes to go skiing, and in the summer he goes hiking.

The typical troll wife stands as an energetic and quick-witted counterpart to the troll. She can be obstinate, wilful, persevering, reckless, clever and uncompromising, but deep inside she has a good heart. Her personality traits enable her to go far, if she uses them in the right way.“Troll-wife of the year” is an honorary prize which, if a worthy candidate is found, is given during the Troll Days festival in Tynset at the end of June. The prize winner must have made her- or himself conspicuous through her or his ability

to go far by believing in her or his own ideas and abilities. The prize may equally well be distributed to a man as to a woman, and the prize winner undertakes to be an inspiration for young trolls, closet trolls and potential new troll wives.The Troll-wife prize consists of a specially produced troll from NyForm, one of a kind, together with an honorary framed diploma.In 2003 the prize was given to the former Tynset village council chairman, Per H. Hagen, for his work for the village.

Le «Prix Mère troll» est un prix d’honneur qui sera attribué lors des Trolldagan à la fin juin, si on trouve un candidat méritant. Le gagnant devra avoir fait preuve de succès, dû à ses qualités de confiance en ses propres idées et capacités. Le prix pourra être attribué aussi bien à un homme qu’à une femme, et le gagnant du prix devra s’engager à être une source d’inspiration pour les petits trolls, les trolls à devenir et toute les candidates au titre de «Mère troll». Le prix : «Mère troll» consiste en un troll crée spécialement par Ny Form, tout à fait unique, et un diplôme honorifique encadré et sous verre. En 2003 ce prix fut attribué à l’ancien maire de Tynset, Per N. Hagen, pour son travail pour le village.

Der Gewinner des Preises muss die Fähigkeit bewiesen haben, seine Ziele durch den Glauben an eigene Ideen und Veranlagung zu erreichen. Der Preis kann sowohl an einen Mann als auch an eine Frau verliehen werden. Der Gewinner verpflichtet sich, eine Inspirationsquelle für Trollkinder, heimliche Trolle und potentiell neue Trollweiber zu sein. D’inverno va a pescare sul ghiaccio, scia e si diletta anche di fotografia. In estate invece inforca la moto e va a caccia o a pesca.Arvid Graneng lavora alla NyForm da 28 anni. Anche lui versa la colata negli stampi dei troll e dice della sua attività che è stimolante e molto interessante. Naturalmente anche Arvid ha un ottimo rapporto con i troll e ne ha molti a casa sua. Il suo preferito è il numero 122, il troll sugli sci.Nel tempo libero Arvid ama la vita all’aria aperta. In inverno va a sciare e anche d’estate va in montagna!

È capace di essere cocciuta, testarda, perseverante, incurante del pericolo, abile e intransigente ma sotto questi tratti si cela una persona dal cuore d’oro. I tratti della sua personalità, se usati bene, le consentono di fare molta strada.“Consorte del Troll dell’anno” è un’onorificenza che, ammesso vi sia un candidato all’altezza, viene consegnata alla fine di giugno durante il festival “Giornate dei Troll” che si svolge a Tynset. Il vincitore del premio deve essersi fatto notare per la propria abilità nel conseguire molti obiettivi credendo nelle proprie idee e capacità. Il premio può essere assegnato indistintamente ad un uomo o una donna e il vincitore si impegna ad essere fonte di ispirazione per i giovani troll, i troll adulti e i potenziali nuovi consorti.Il premio Consorte del Troll è costituito da un troll, unico nel suo genere, prodotto appositamente da NyForm ed un diploma ad honorem già incorniciato.Nel 2003 il premio è stato assegnato all’ex sindaco di Tynset, Per H. When two tourists visited Prekestolen near Lysefjorden, Stavanger, in Norway, they got a big surprise.

Of course they are troll collectors, and know that the Ny Form trolls are constantly on the move in the woods and fields, but it was new to them that these trolls also engage in extreme sports. As you can see in the picture, the cliff called ”Prekestolen” drops straight into the see. Here they met our new friend 072, ready for a jump down into the Lysefjord.Fortunately Ny Form trolls are unbreakable. Otherwise this could have gone really badly…

Comme vous pouvez le voir sur l’illustration, la falaise que l’on appelle «Prekestolen» surplombe la mer. C’est là qu’ils rencontrèrent notre nouvel ami 072, près à plonger dans le Lysefjord. Heureusement, les trolls Ny Form sont incassables, sinon cela aurait pu tourner très mal.

The Seventh Father of the HouseOnce upon a time there was a man who was traveling about, and he came at length to a big and fine farm. There was such a fine manor house there that it might well have been a little castle. “It would be a nice thing to get a night’s rest here,” said the man to himself, upon entering the gate. Close by stood an old man with gray hair and beard, chopping wood.“Good evening, father,” said the traveler. “Can I get lodgings here tonight?”“I am not the father of the house,” said the old man. “Go into the kitchen and speak to my father!” The traveler went into the kitchen. There he met a man who was still older, and he was lying on his knees in front of the hearth, blowing into the fire.“Good evening, father. Can I get lodgings here tonight?” asked the traveler.“I am not the father of the house,” said the old man. “But go in and speak to my father. He is sitting at the table in the parlor.”So the traveler went into the parlor and spoke to him who was sitting at the table. He was much older than the other two, and he sat there with chattering teeth, shaking, and reading in a big book, almost like a little child.“Good evening, father. Can you give me lodgings here tonight?” said the man.“I am not the father of the house. But speak to my father over there. "Yo no soy el padre en esta casa", dijo el anciano, "pero vaya a la cocina y hable con mi padre".El viajero entró a la cocina, donde encontró un hombre que era incluso mayor, arrodillado frente a la chimenea y atizando el fuego. "Buenas noches, padre. ¿Puedo alojar en vuestra casa esta noche?", dijo el hombre. Pasó mucho tiempo antes de recibir una respuesta, e incluso más tiempo antes que terminara de responder. Al igual que los anteriores, el hombre dijo que él no era el padre en la casa. "Pero hable con mi padre, que está metido en el cuerno que cuelga en la pared".

«Bonsoir, le père» dit le voyageur. «Me prêterez-vous logis ce soir ?»«Ce n’est pas moi le père du foyer,» dit le vieillard. «Mais va parler à mon père; il est assis à table dans la salle à manger !»Alors le voyageur entra dans la salle à manger et s’adressa à celui qui était assis à table. Il était bien plus âgé que les deux autres et il était assis là à claquer des dents et à trembloter et lisait un grand livre, presque comme s’il était un petit enfant.

Oui, le voyageur alla au berceau; il s’y trouvait un très vieux bougre, tellement racorni qu’il n’était pas plus grand qu’un nourrisson, et personne n’aurait cru qu’il était en vie, si de petits gémissements n’étaient pas de temps en temps sortis de sa gorge.

«Bonsoir, le père» dit le voyageur. «Me prêterez-vous logis ce soir ?»

Il fut longtemps sans recevoir de réponse, et quand la réponse vint, elle mit encore plus longtemps à sortir. Le vieux bonhomme lui dit, comme les autres, qu’il n’était pas le père du foyer. «Mais parle à mon père, dit-il, il est dans la corne qui pend au mur.»

Le voyageur regarda au mur, et il vit enfin la corne, mais quand il regarda dedans pour voir ce qu’il trouvait, tout ce qu’il vit était une effigie à visage humain. Alors il eut tellement peur qu’il cria : «Bonsoir, le père!» «Me prêterez-vous logis ce soir ?»

De la corne sortit un petit couinement, comme d’un petit oiseau, et c’est tout juste s’il pu comprendre que cela voulait dire : «Oui, mon enfant !»

Alors fut apportée une table couverte des mets les plus riches, de bière et d’eau de vie, et quand il eut mangé et bu, on apporta un bon lit couvert de fourrures de renne, et le voyageur était très heureux d’avoir enfin trouvé le vrai père du foyer.

Der Wandersmann ging in die Küche. Dort traf er auf einen Mann, der noch älter war als der erste. Er lag auf den Knien vor dem Kamin und fachte das Feuer an.„Guten Abend, Herr, darf ich hier übernachten?”, fragte der Wandersmann.„Ich bin nicht der Herr im Hause”, sagte der Alte, „aber geh rein und sprich mit meinem Vater, er sitzt am Tisch im Wohnzimmer.”

Es dauerte lange, bis er eine Antwort erhielt, und noch länger, bevor der Greis zu Ende gesprochen hatte. Il viaggiatore scorse le pareti attorno a sé e alla fine vide il corno. Ma quando si mise a cercare la creatura che doveva essere all’interno non vide altro che un pugno di cenere bianca, che aveva le sembianze del viso di un uomo. Il viaggiatore ne fu così spaventato che si mise a gridare “Buona sera signore. Potete accogliermi per la notte?”Si udì un suono che assomigliava al cinguettio di una piccola cinciarella ed egli riuscì a malapena a capire che significava “Si, figlio mio”.

Allora apparve una tavola imbandita con portate semplici, birra e brandy. E dopo che ebbe mangiato e bevuto, comparve un bel letto con pelli di renna e il viaggiatore fu lieto di aver infine trovato il vero signore della casa.
