Dear Troll CollectorThis spring we present ten new Ny Form trolls, which we of course hope that you will like.

It is very satisfying to know that our troll still is popular after 42 years with production. 42 years and somewhere between two and three hundred different models. We are proud of that!

During the years the trolls have changed, but many of the original trolls are still in range. Trygve Torgersen made the first trolls, as many of you probably know. Torgersen started his production in a small Norwegian village called Tynset, east in the southern part of Norway. And although there are many years since he retired, his first troll is still having influence on the production. The very unique expression in Torgersens troll is what we hope to recreate in the new models. That is a challenge!

The trolls are still made exactly as they were for 42 years ago, totally handmade. Every troll is handled 20-30 times in a process that takes from two weeks to one month to finish. And because of the handwork none of them is exactly alike.

This spring we also present some new products with the Ny Form logo and pictures of trolls on. You can read more about the products on page 6.

We still want to hear from you and put your stories and pictures of your trolls on print, so please don’t forget. You will find our address another place in this magazine.

E’ molto bello sapere che i nostri troll sono sempre apprezzati dopo 42 anni dalla prima produzione. Quarantadue anni e qualche cosa fra due e trecento diversi modelli. Ne siamo molto orgogliosi! Nel corso degli anni I troll sono cambiati, ma molti degli originali sono ancora a catalogo. Trygve Torgersen fece i primi troll, come molti di voi sanno. Torgersen iniziò la produzione in un piccolo villaggio Norvegese chiamato Tynset, nella zona sud est della Norvegia. E, nonostante sia andato in pensione da molto tempo, la produzione attuale è tuttora influenzata dallo stile del suo primo troll.E’ proprio l’espressione particolare dei troll di Torgersen la caratteristica che cerchiamo di conservare nei nuovi modelli. E’ una bella sfida!I troll vengono ancora prodotti come si faceva 42 anni fa, totalmente a mano. Ogni troll subisce 20-30 lavorazioni, all’interno di un procedimento che richiede da due settimane ad un mese di tempo per essere completato. Liebe Trollsammler!In diesem Frühjahr stellen wir zehn neue Ny Form Trolle vor, die euch hoffentlich gut gefallen werden. Es ist sehr schön zu wissen, dass unsere Trolle nach 42 Jahren in Produktion immer noch so beliebt sind. 42 Jahre und irgendwo zwischen zwei- und dreihundert verschiedenen Modellen.Wir sind stolz auf uns!

Im Laufe der Jahre haben sich die Trolle verändert, aber viele der Originaltrolle sind nach wie vor im Angebot. Wie ihr wahrscheinlich wisst, hat Trygve Torgersen die ersten Trolle entworfen. Er startete seine Produktion in einem kleinen norwegischen Ort namens Tynset, der im Osten von Südnorwegen liegt. Und obwohl Torgersen schon seit vielen Jahren in Rente ist, haben seine ersten Trolle immer noch Einfluss auf die heutige Produktion. Wir hoffen, dass der einzigartigen Ausdruck von Torgersens Trollen auch in den neuen Modellen wiederzufinden ist. Das ist unsere Herausforderung!Die Trolle werden noch genauso wie vor 42 Jahren mit der Hand gemacht. Jeder Troll durchläuft 20 bis 30 Schritte in einem Prozess, der zwischen zwei und vier Wochen dauern kann. Und weil sie Handarbeit sind, gleicht kein Troll genau dem anderen.Dieses Frühjahr präsentieren wir ebenfalls einige neue Produkte, die das Ny Form-Logo und Bilder von Trollen zeigen. Troll wifeIn 2006 the first female bishop in Scandinavia, Rosemarie Köhn, received the Troll wife prize.

Mr. Ola Jonsmoen, who had the honour to give her the prize, describes her as an epoch-making woman with a contagious positivism. She always says yes!- And the good thing is that she always is down to earth, because with her head in heaven, it is not weird that it can be tough for her health sometimes, he comment, and made the bishop laugh, again!

This is the eight troll wife prize, and the prize always goes to a person that through her or his untraditional ways of doing things has achieved positive results for other persons than themselves. In the criteria’s it says that the receiver shall be energetic, self- willed, quick-witted, stubborn in a positive way, persevering, have a devil-may-care attitude and a good heart. The bishop herself laughed a bit at this criteria’s and said that she hardly can whisper the word “devil-may-care attitude”, but nevertheless she is feeling honoured by getting this prize of honour.

Das TrollweibDie erste weibliche Bischöfin Skandinaviens, Rosemarie Köhn, erhielt den Trollweib-Preis des Jahres 2006.

Herr Ola Jonsmoen, der die Ehre hatte, den Preis zu überreichen, beschreibt Rosemarie Köhn als eine epochemachende Frau mit ansteckendem Optimismus. Sie ist immer positiv! - Das Gute an ihr ist ihre Bodenständigkeit. Wenn man mit den Gedanken ständig im Himmel ist, verwundert es nicht, dass die Gesundheit manchmal auf der Strecke bleibt, sagt Ola und bringt die Bischöfin erneut zum Lachen.Dies war der achte Trollweib-Preis, der verliehen wurde. Der Preis geht wie immer an eine Person, die durch untraditionelles Handeln positive Resultate für andere Menschen erzielt. Der Empfänger des Preises sollte folgende Eigenschaften haben: Sie oder er muss tatkräftig, entschlossen, klug, standhaft und stur im positiven Sinn sein; ein gutes Herz haben und vom Teufel geritten sein. Die Bischöfin lächelte über dieses letzte Kriterium und sagte, dass sie „vom Teufel geritten“ kaum aussprechen könne. Aber trotzdem fühle sie sich sehr geehrt, den Trollweib-Preis zu erhalten.

Ola Jonsmoen, che ha avuto l’onore di consegnarle il premio, la descrive come una donna protagonista dei cambiamenti della nostra epoca, con un positivismo contagioso.- Dice sempre sì!E la cosa buona è che ha sempre i piedi per terra, visto che ha la testa in paradiso, e questo può essere un problema per la sua salute –Questo è stato il commento di Ola, che ha fatto ridere ancora una volta il vescovo!Questa è l’ottava edizione del premio, che viene sempre assegnato ad una persona che, attraverso un approccio innovativo, abbia raggiunto risultati positivi per sé o per gli altri. I criteri ispiratori del premio dicono che il prescelto deve essere energico, fiducioso in se stesso, veloce nel capire le persone, ostinato in modo positivo, perseverante; anche deve avere un atteggiamento un po’ incosciente e un grande cuore.Il vescovo stesso ha sorriso di questi criteri e ha dichiarato che alcuni non sono molto consoni al suo ruolo, ma comunque si sente onorata di avere ricevuto questo premio.

Since you are reading this magazine you probably are the lucky owner of this year’s club pack. This years club troll is only produced in 2000 examples spread all over the world.Inside this pack you have found two registration cards and a welcome letter. We hope that you will either send us one of these cards, or go online, and register as an active mem-ber. If you do that you will also receive the second issue of the magazine this year.

If you find your retailers name and address on the outside of the box (probably a stamp on the backside) you can send them the other card (no 2) and they will keep you updated on what’s new with the trolls or at their shop.

When you read in this magazine I hope that you notice that you also can contribute with pictures and stories. You are helping us doing this magazine better if you tell us about your experiences due to the trolls, and it is always nice to share cheerful and pleasant things with one another. Mr. Olivier Lucotte, do you remember when you first met or saw a Ny Form Troll?The first time was in Trondheim, Norway, more than 20 years ago. At the time I was traveling with the Interail card throughout Europe and I spent a few days in Norway. What I remember most, aside from the beauty of Norway, are the giant trolls and the August mosquitoes (or the August Trolls and the giant mosquitoes). What makes the Ny Form Troll special to you?The fact that it is a very old product, probably the ancestor of all fantasy figurines. Which Ny Form Troll is your favorite?Difficult to answer, but maybe ref. 116 who looks like a kind troll. I also have a fondness for the rocker (305) and the punk (75) What do you think make these trolls more popular than all the imitations on the market?First because they are the original products, still manufactured in Europe, and also because they look authentic. How do you think that the French people feel about trolls?French people probably think that trolls are an exotic version of the garden gnomes. Do you have any French figures/creatures that you grow up with in France, as we do with the trolls in Norway?Most French regions have their own folkloric creatures. The list would be very long if we try to mention them all.I grew up in Paris, so there were no real local creatures (aside from the subway rats). Do you know about any arrangements or activities around trolls in France this year?Not that I know of. What kind of a company is TWI SARL and where in France do we find you?TWI was founded in 1995 and has been dealing with original fantasy since 1999. We are located near Chartres.

Stavo viaggiando per l’Europa con Inter Rail e avevo passato qualche giorno anche in Norvegia. Ciò che ricordo di più, oltre alla bellezza dei paesaggi, sono i troll giganti e le zanzare di Agosto (oppure i troll di Agosto e le zanzare giganti ???).

Cos’è che rende i Troll Ny Form qualcosa di speciale per lei?Il fatto che si tratta di un prodotto con molta storia alle spalle, probabilmente il progenitore di tutte i personaggi di fantasia.

Qual è il Troll Ny Form che preferisce?Difficile rispondere, ma forse preferisco il n° 116, che ha un aspetto gentile. Sono innamorato anche del rocchettaro (n° 305) e del piccolino (75) Cosa c’è alla base del successo dei Troll Ny Form e del fatto che il pubblico li preferisce rispetto alle varie imitazioni presenti sul mercato?In primo luogo perché sono i troll originali, tuttora prodotti in Europa, e poi perché si vede che sono autentici. Qual è il rapporto dei Francesi con i troll?I Francesi probabilmente vedono I troll come una versione più “esotica” degli gnomi da giardino.

Herr Olivier Lucotte, erinnern Sie sich, wann Sie zum ersten Mal einen Ny Form Troll gesehen oder getroffen haben?Ja, das erste Mal war in Trondheim, Norwegen, vor mehr als 20 Jahren. Damals habe ich Interrail durch Europa gemacht und war einige Tage in Norwegen. Woran ich mich neben der Schönheit des Landes am besten erinnere, sind die Riesentrolle und die Mücken im August (oder die Trolle im August und die Riesenmücken).

Was ist das Besondere an den Ny Form Trollen?Die Tatsache, dass es sich um ein sehr altes Produkt handelt. Wahrscheinlich sind die Trolle die Vorfahren der Phantasy-Figuren.

Welcher Ny Form Troll ist Ihr Lieblingstroll?Schwer zu sagen, aber wahrscheinlich Nr. 116; er sieht sehr nett aus. Außerdem habe ich eine Vorliebe für den Rocker (Nr. 305) und den Punker (Nr. 75).

Warum sind Ihrer Meinung nach unsere Trolle beliebter als all die Kopien auf dem Markt?In erster Linie, weil die Ny Form Trolle das Originalprodukt sind und immer noch in Europa hergestellt werden; und natürlich auch, weil sie so echt aussehen.

Was halten die Franzosen von Trollen?Die Franzosen glauben wahrscheinlich, dass Trolle eine exotische Ausgabe der Gartenzwerge sind.

Gibt es in Frankreich Figuren oder Wesen, mit denen man aufwächst, ähnlich wie wir in Norwegen mit den Trollen?Die meisten Gegenden in Frankreich haben ihre eigenen folkloristischen Figuren. Wenn ich versuchen würde, sie aufzuzählen, würde die Liste sehr lang. Ich bin in Paris aufgewachsen; hier gibt es solche lokalen Wesen nicht (abgesehen von den Ratten in der U-Bahn).

Gibt es in diesem Jahr in Frankreich Veranstaltungen oder Aktivitäten, die mit Trollen zu tun haben?Nicht das ich wüsste.

Was für ein Betrieb ist TWI SARL eigentlich und wo in Frankreich finden wir ihn?TWI wurde 1995 gegründet und vertreibt seit 1999 originale Phantasy-Figuren. Unsere Firma liegt in der Nähe von Chartres.

Where is he going?

Kurz vor Ostern kam der Clubtroll 2006 in unsere Trollfamilie.

Meine kleinen Freunde haben ihn sofort erkannt. Sie waren sehr glücklich, denn es handelt sich um einen angesehenen Trolldoktor. Die Trolle sind zwar von robuster Natur, aber wenn doch einmal einer krank wird oder einen Unfall hat, lässt er durch die Tiere des Waldes den Trolldoktor rufen. Dieser reist durch die ganze Welt und ist immer auf der Suche nach seltenen Heilkräutern, welche er in einem Tuch an seinem Wanderstab stets bei sich trägt. Der Trolldoktor ist sehr beliebt. Sein Hobby ist der Gesang. Manchmal, wenn ein Mensch Glück hat, kann er seine wunderschönen Lieder in den Bergen und Wäldern hören. Für seine Dienste nimmt der Trolldoktor keinen Lohn. Er freut sich, wenn es dem erkrankten Troll wieder gut geht. Eine leckere Mahlzeit lässt er sich jedoch nicht entgehen. Sein Leibgericht ist die deftige Troll-Kartoffelsuppe mit gehacktem Elch, Möhren und Zwiebeln. Manchmal kommt es vor, dass er ein Trollkind fragt, ob es auch ein Trolldoktor werden möchte. Auf diese Weise gibt er sein umfangreiches Wissen weiter. Auch wenn die Trolle sehr alt werden, kann der Trolldoktor nicht an jedem Ort gleichzeitig sein. Da ist es hilfreich, wenn es noch mehr Doktoren gibt. Die Trollfamilie des Auserwählten ist dann zwar immer sehr traurig, weil sie ihr Trollkind lange Zeit nicht sehen werden; sie sind aber auch sehr stolz, da es eine große Ehre ist ein Trolldoktor zu werden.Jetzt ist einer zu uns gekommen und ich weiß, dass es meinen kleinen Freunden immer gut gehen wird. Vielleicht kommt bald auch ein Trolldoktor in euer Haus?

In issue no 15 we challenged you to write a story about where the club troll is going. We received a lot of good stories, and contributions that there were used a lot of time to make, therefor we decided that we will print more of the stories, not just the winner, which you could read in the last issue of the magazine. So here are more, please enjoy!

Just before Eas-ter the Clubtroll 2006 came into our troll family.

My little friends immediately recognized him. They were very happy because he is a very well known troll doctor. The trolls have a robust constitution. But if someone is ill or have an accident they ask the animals of the woods to call for the troll doctor. This one travels all over the world searching for rare medicinal herbs, which he carries in a cotton bag at his stick. The troll doctor is very popular. His hobby is singing. Sometimes, if people have luck, they can hear his wonderful songs all over the mountains and woods. He doesn’t take any money for his work. He is happy if the troll recovers. He likes to eat and doesn’t miss a meal. His favourite dish is the Troll-potato-soup with minced elk, carrots and onions. Sometimes he asks a troll child if it wants to be a troll doctor. Although the trolls will get very old a troll doctor can’t be at several places at the same time. Therefore it’s good to have several troll doctors. The family of the chosen troll child who will become a troll doctor is always very sad, because they don’t see their child for a long time. But they are very proud too, because it’s a great honour to be a troll doctor. Now one came to us and I know that my little friends always will be all right. Maybe a troll doctor will come in your house too?

Dove sta andando?Nel numero 15 del magazine, vi abbiamo sfidati a scrivere una storia su “dove va il club troll”. Abbiamo ricevuto molte belle storie, e altri contributi che hanno richiesto un bel po’ del vostro tempo. Per questo abbiamo deciso di pubblicare altre storie, oltre a quella del vincitore, apparsa sul numero precedente.E così, eccole qua, per voi!

Una storia scritta da Astrid Schneider:Poco prima di Pasqua il Club troll 2006 è arrivato nella nostra famiglia di troll.

I miei piccoli amici lo hanno immediatamente riconosciuto e ne sono stati molto contenti perché è un noto dottore troll. I troll hanno una costituzione robusta, ma ogni tanto capita anche a loro di ammalarsi o di avere un incidente; allora chiedono agli animali dei boschi di chiamare il dottore dei troll. Il dottore viaggia per tutto il mondo cercando rare erbe medicinali, che porta in una sacca di cotone legata al suo bastone.Il dottore dei troll è molto famoso. Il suo hobby è cantare: a volte, se si è fortunati, si possono sentire il suono delle sue bellissime canzoni diffondersi per i monti e per i boschi. Non chiede compensi per il suo lavoro. Gli piace mangiare e non salta mai un pasto. Il suo piatto preferito è la zuppa di patate dei Troll, con spezzatino di alce, carote e cipolle. A volte il dottore chiede ad un piccolo troll se vuole diventare anche lui un dottore. Infatti, nonostante i troll siano molto longevi, il dottore dei troll non può tornare molte volte nello stesso posto. Per questo è meglio che di dottori ce ne siano molti. I famigliari del piccolo prescelto sono sempre tristi, perché non vedono il loro bambino per lunghi periodi, ma allo stesso tempo sono orgogliosi, perché essere un dottore dei troll costituisce un grande onore. Ora uno di loro è venuto da noi e so che i miei piccoli amici staranno sempre bene. Chissà che non ne arrivi uno anche nella vostra casa!

A story written by Dario Cipolla:This summer we got the club troll 2006, and according to me, it is very beautiful. I was very happy that also this year’s collection Troll has been made with the plinth in wood as those of the first years... while those of 2001 and 2002/03 didn’t. The plinth in wood makes them extra special.

As I already have told you, for a few days ago the club troll 2006 was added to my family. One afternoon in August I heard a voice that called outside my door. With great joy I found the new club troll 2006. It was very tired after the long trip and therefore I proposed him a good meal and a rest together with his

brothers. Obviously he was very happy for that! Once he had rested told me the vicissitudes of his trip and he has also brought me your regards that I reciprocate very gladly. Here is a brief summary of the trip of “Barabba”, my new and dear friend.

Sono molto contento che anche quest’anno il troll da collezione sia stato fatto con la base in legno, come quelli dei primi anni, mentre quelli del 2001 e del 2002/03 non li avevano. La base in legno li rende veramente speciali.Come vi ho già detto, qualche tempo fa il club troll 2006 si è aggiunto alla mia famiglia.In un pomeriggio di Agosto ho sentito una voce che mi chiamava da dietro la porta di casa. Con grande gioia trovai il Club troll 2006. Arrivava da un lungo viaggio e per questo era molto stanco, quindi gli offrii un buon pasto e un posto per riposare con i suoi fratelli. Naturalmente ne fu molto felice!Dopo aver riposato, mi raccontò le vicissitudini del suo viaggio e mi portò I vostri saluti, che ricambio con molto piacere. Ecco un breve riassunto del viaggio di “Barabba”, il mio nuovo e caro amico.

Eine Geschichte von Dario Cipolla:Diesen Sommer haben wir den Klub-Troll 2006 erhalten, den ich sehr schön finde.Glücklicherweise steht er, genauso wie die Sammlerstücke der ersten Jahre, auf einem Sockel aus Holz... im Gegensatz zu den Modellen der Jahre 2001 und 2002/03. Ein solcher Holzsockel macht die Trolle besonders außergewöhnlich.Wie ich euch schon vor einigen Tagen berichtet habe, ist der Klub-Troll 2006 ein Teil meiner Familie geworden. Eines Nachmittags im August hörte ich eine Stimme an der Tür. Meine Freude war groß, als ich draußen den neuen Klub-Troll 2006 fand. Da er von der langen Reise sehr müde war, bot ich ihm eine gute Mahlzeit und einen Schlafplatz neben seinen Brüdern an. Darüber hat er sich offensichtlich sehr gefreut! Nachdem er sich ausgeruht hatte, berichtete er mir von den Ereignissen seiner Reise und übermittelte mir auch eure Grüße, die ich sehr gerne erwidere. Hier folgt eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Reise Barabbas, meines neuen und guten Freundes.

How many club trolls do you have?This years club troll is the tenth troll made for the club pack. One of the trolls were made for two years so this is the elev-enth year with the club, but all in all there is produced ten limited edition trolls. How many of them do you have?

We are asking you to take a photo of your club trolls and send it to us. You will find the address at the bottom of this page. If you also have a few words to tell about them that will be extra nice.

Nell’ultima edizione del magazine abbaimo annunciate il concorso delle somiglianze.Non vi abbiamo dato molto tempo per trovare qualcuno che assomigliasse ad un troll, ma ciononostante abbiamo ricevuto delle buone fotografie. Queste per esempio ci sono state mandate da Maike Winkelmann - Germania:

Hello, my name is Michela. I’m a 23 years old girl. I’m Italian and I’m a troll collector. I’ve got 154 of them .....here they are ....

My friend has had #218 for a while and did not know anything about Trolls until ladies in our tea club talked to her. It was bought at an American garage sale/flea market. Yes, they kept it out on a sunny porch and it has to have help now in standing (there is a stick in the picture indicating such). Now that they know more about it, they are keeping him inside. Unfortunately, a little too late. The hat I am wearing is a Victorian hat. I was at the Tea Guild meeting. We dress Victorian at our meetings (therefore, the reason for the hat). At our next tea meeting I will show her that her Troll is #218. Thank you for all the information. I sure wish I had a troll that size!

I Troll all’ora del theUna mia amica ha avuto per un po’ di tempo il n° 218, ma non ne sapeva nulla fino a che le signore del nostro “tea club” non glie ne hanno parlato. Fu comperato in America. Ad una vendita di roba usata / mercatino delle pulci. Ebbene sì, lo anno tenuto fuori in un portico, sotto il sole e ora ha bisogno di aiuto per stare in piedi (come potete vedere c’è un bastone nella foto, che lo dimostra). Ore che ne sanno di più sul suo conto, lo tengo all’interno. Sfortunatamente, è un po’ troppo tardi.Il copricapo che indosso è un cappello Vittoriano. Sono stata all’incontro della Corporazione del The. Ci vestiamo sempre in stile Vittoriano per questi incontri (da qui il cappello). Al prossimo incontro le farò vedere che il suo troll è proprio il 218. grazie per tutte le informazioni che ci date. Di sicuro a me piacerebbe avere un troll di quelle dimensioni!

Tee und TrollMeine Freundin besitzt seit einiger Zeit Nr. 218, den sie auf einem amerikanischen Flohmarkt gekauft hat. Sie hatte tatsächlich überhaupt keine Ahnung von Trollen, bis einige Damen aus unserem Teeklub sie aufgeklärt haben. Ja, stellt euch vor, sie hatte ihren Troll auf einer sonnigen Veranda stehen, deshalb braucht er jetzt auch Hilfe beim Stehen (wie der Stock auf dem Foto zeigt). Da sie nun einiges über Trolle gelernt hat, wird sie Nr. 218 wohl in Zukunft drinnen aufbewahren. Bedauerlicherweise ein bisschen zu spät.Der Hut, den ich hier trage, ist ein viktorianischer Hut. Das war bei einem Treffen des Teeklubs. Wir kleiden uns im viktorianischen Stil bei diesen Treffen (deshalb der Hut). Bei unserem nächsten Teetreffen werde ich meiner Freundin sagen, dass ihr Troll die Nummer 218 ist. Vielen Dank für all euere Informationen. Ich wünschte, ich hätte einen Troll dieser Größe!

110 trolls in 2 years!

At the troll weekend in Hamont, Belgium, the last weekend in April this year, there will be presented a new Ny Form Troll magazine, written in Dutch.

The enthusiast behind this is Joop Cleijne, which also wrote the report from the last trollweekend in the last issue of the Ny Form Troll Magazine. Joop is doing the writing and the layout on the new magazine in cooperation with his friend and weekend organizer Stefan Boonen at ‘T Oude Schuurtje.

Il troll magazine OlandeseAl troll weekend di Hamont, in Belgio, che si terrà nell’ultimo fine settimana di Aprile di quest’anno, sarà presentato un nuovo Ny Form Troll magazine, scritto in Olandese.

Dietro questa iniziativa c’è l’entusiasmo di Joop Cleijne, che ha scritto anche il resoconto dell’ultimo trollweekend nella scorsa edizione del Ny Form Troll Magazine. Joop sta preparando sia gli articoli che l’impaginazione del nuovo magazine, in collaborazione con il suo amico, e organizzatore del weekend, Stefan Boonen, a ‘T Oude Schuurtje.

Hallo!Dies ist mein Beitrag zur Leserecke. Ich heiße Kevin Kooijmans und bin zwölf Jahre alt. Ich sammle seit ungefähr zwei Jahren Trolle und habe schon 110 Stück. Ich mag die Trolle sehr gerne, weil sie so lustig sind. Für mich sind sie lebendig und sehr echt.Meine Lieblingstrolle sind Nummer 18 und Nummer 310 (siehe Abbildung).Ich wohne in Oud Beijerland in Holland.

Ein niederländisches Troll-magazinAuf dem Troll-Wochenende in Hamont, Belgien, am letzten Wochenende im April dieses Jahres wird ein neues Ny Form Troll-Magazin vorgestellt werden: in niederländischer Sprache.

Der Enthusiast hinter dieser Idee ist Joop Cleijne, der auch den Bericht über das letzte Troll-Wochenende in der vorigen Ausgabe des Ny Form Troll-Magazins geschrieben hat. Zusammen mit seinem Freund Stefan Boonen, dem Organisator des Wochenendes in ‘T Oude Schuurtje, übernimmt Joop die Verantwortung für den Inhalt und das Layout des neuen Magazins.

Reader’s corner:Australians on asummer Holiday in NorwayWe took our family from Melbourne, Austra-lia to Europe this summer and had 10 fan-tastic days in Norway in Oslo, Bergen and the Sogndal Fjord region. Here are some photos of our daughter, Lauren Datson at the 3 Big Trolls on our travels. We saw lots of trolls all across Norway, had our certificates stamped at the Trollstigen Pass (on the Trolls Road) and even found a shop in Geiranger that were selling discontinued models for half price! All together, we can home with 12 new Trolls to add to the collection. Our sharp eyes spotted trolls in shops in Provence in France, Levanto in Italy and even in Venice close to a canal.

Our tour through Norway was a fantastic experience * Geiranger was the most charming and breathtaking place with the vistas of the sheer mountain walls plunging into the deep blue water of the fjords; overhanging clouds and the steep winding roads stopping at the water’s edge as you wait for the car ferry to take you across the fjord to where the road continues on to other spectacular views. Norway has the longest road tunnel near Laerdal, which is 24,5 km long and I’m sure if we had been stopped, we would have found some trolls hiding inside.

Ny Form trolls make an appearance in shops all over Norway, in small towns as well as the larger cities. As my collection expands, I’ve decided to give them all names and so I bought a book of Norwegian baby names so they feel at home.

This was our second trip to Norway and certainly will not be the last, but it is such a long way to Australia for Trolls to travel.

Lauren and the Geiranger-troll

Australiani in vacanza estivain NorvegiaQuest’estate abbiamo portato la nostra famiglia da Melbourne, Australia in Europa e abbiamo passato 10 fantastici giorni in Norvegia, a Oslo, Bergen e nella regione del Sogndal Fjord.

Ecco alcune foto di nostra figlia, Lauren Datson, con i tre “Big Trolls” incontrati durante il viaggio. Abbiamo visto moltissimi di troll in giro per la Norvegia, ci siamo fatti stampare i certificati al passo di Trollstigen (sulla Trolls Road) e abbiamo anche trovato un negozio a Geiranger, che vendeva troll fuori produzione a prezzo scontato! Alla fine, siamo tornati a casa con 12 nuovi pezzi per la nostra collezione. I nostri occhi aguzzi hanno individuato troll nei negozi della Provenza (in Francia), di Levanto (in Italia) e perfino a Venezia, vicino ad un canale. Il nostro giro attraverso la Norvegia è stata un’esperienza fantastica. Geiranger è stato il posto più affascinante, con le vedute mozzafiato sulle pareti rocciose a strapiombo, che si tuffano nelle acque blu del fiordo; nuvole incombenti e ripide strade tortuose, che si fermano sul bordo dell’acqua per aspettare il traghetto, che ti porta al di là del fiordo, dove la strada continua verso altri panorami spettacolari. La Norvegia possiede il più lungo tunnel stradale, vicino a Laerdal; è lungo 24,5 chilometri e sono sicuro che, se ci fossimo dovuti fermare, avremmo trovato dei troll nascosti lì dentro. I Ny Form troll si trovano in tutti i negozi della Norvegia, nelle piccole città come in quelle più grandi. Mano a mano che la mia collezione cresce, ho deciso di dare un nome a ciascuno di loro e così ho comperato un libro di nomi Norvegesi, in modo da farli sentire a casa loro.Questa è stata la nostra seconda gita in Norvegia e certamente non sarà l’ultima, ma per i troll è così lunga la strada per arrivare in Australia! La Norvegia è un posto così magico, non c’è da meravigliarsi che i troll ne abbiano fatto la loro casa.

Australier im Sommerurlaub in NorwegenUnsere Familie ist im Sommer von Melbourne in Australien nach Europa gereist. Wir haben zehn fantastische Tage in Norwegen verbracht, genauer gesagt in Oslo, Bergen und in der Gegend um den Sognefjord.Hier sind einige Fotos von unserer Tochter Lauren Datson neben den drei Riesentrollen, die wir unterwegs gesehen haben. Wir sind auch einer Menge anderer Trolle begegnet. Außerdem haben wir auf dem „Weg der Trolle“ einen Stempel als Beglaubigung dafür erhalten, dass wir den Trollstigen-Pass überquert haben. Und in Geiranger haben wir sogar ein Geschäft gefunden, das Auslaufmodelle zum halben Preis verkauft hat! Als wir nach Hause kamen, hatten wir insgesamt zwölf neue Trolle in unserer Sammlung. Unsere scharfen Augen haben Trolle in Läden in der Provence in Frankreich, in Levanto in Italien und sogar nahe am Kanal in Venedig entdeckt.Unsere Reise durch Norwegen war ein fantastisches Erlebnis. Geiranger war ein wunderbarer und atemberaubender Ort: Mit seinem Ausblick über die glatten Felswände, die in das tiefe blaue Wasser der Fjorde hineintauchen, die überhängenden Wolken und die steilen kurvenreichen Straßen, die am Wasser enden, während man auf die Autofähre wartet, die einen auf die andere Seite des Fjordes bringt, wo die Straßen zu weiteren spektakulären Aussichten führen. In Norwegen gibt es in der Nähe von Lærdal den längsten Tunnel der Welt. Er hat eine Länge von 24,5 km. Hätten wir im Tunnel angehalten, hätten wir ganz sicher einige versteckte Trolle dort drinnen gefunden.Ny Form Trolle sind in Geschäften in ganz Norwegen zu finden, sowohl in kleineren Orten

als auch in größeren Städten. Da meine Sammlung mittlerweile sehr groß geworden ist, habe ich mich entschlossen, allen Trollen einen Namen zu geben. Damit sich die Trolle wie zu Hause fühlen, habe ich ein Buch mit norwegischen Babynamen gekauft.Dies war unsere zweite Reise nach Norwegen, aber sicherlich nicht die letzte, obwohl es für Trolle ein sehr langer Weg nach Australien ist.Norwegen ist ein magisches Land. Kein Wunder, dass die Trolle hier ihr zu Hause haben.
