1. What is the oxygen converter?

Oxygen converter ?

By blowing pure oxygen gas Oxygen converter change pig iron to steel.

When blowing oxygen gas, The carbon, Impurities are removed by oxidation.

Refractory is high temperature material.

Not deformed at the melting temperature of steel.

Generally melting temperature of refractory is more than 1,580℃.

Water is removed from the shaped bricks. This helps preventing the bricks from deforming or cracking
