Special Event News/Sport NewsWalk Safely to School Day - Friday 18 May. Information about the walking buses led by teachers can be found on the website and the school ap.Biggest Morning Tea - Staff and students are once again asked to support this valuable cause. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation to school and a piece of cake/muffin/biscuit to join in. Students can also bring in an additional coin if they would like to purchase some cake form the canteen.Seasons for Growth is an innovative grief and loss education program that aims to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of children who are dealing with significant life changes. The program will commence in Week 5 this term and run for eight sessions. Two groups of 4-7 students will be selected. Please contact Ms Richards for more information.District Touch Trials - Last Wednesday a talented group of touch players attended District trials at South Tweed. They were Milly E, Maddy S, Ellise N, Yasmin B, Riley C, Jaya D Brock T and Cooper B. Congratulations to Maddy, Jaya, Brock and Cooper who all gained selection in District teams. Cross Country - During the last week of Term 1 students competed in our annual School Cross Country carnival. All students had prepared for the challenge through training at school and for the more competitive, extra efforts outside of school. Well done to runners who are eligible to attend the District carnival at Murwillumbah. Congratulations to the winners of the respective age races. 8/9 Boys: Dylan L 8/9 Girls: Murphy O 10 year Boys: Kai Saunders 10 year Girls: Marlee Schaffer 11 year Boys: Lochi O 11 year Girls: Alyssa T Senior Boys: Axel H Senior Girls: Yasmin B.North Coast Soccer - Congratulations to Jaya D and Axel H who have been selected in the NC PSSA Soccer teams. Axel will travel to Miranda and Jaya will travel to Wollongong later in the term to participate in the state championships.
