Idon'tthinkI'vehadenoughexposuretoproperlyanswerthisquestion--Roomisafairlynewmagazineforme.However,asawriteritwasincrediblywonderfultohaveamagazinespecificallyincludethebroadcategoryofgenderqueerauthorinamagazineforfeminism--it'sveryeasytogetlostasafemale-performingindividualwhoidentifiesasgenderqueer,andthatinclusivitywasoneofthefirstenvironmentswhereIfeltmyidentitywasbeingacknowledgedas"existing".Thankyou.However,sinceIdidn'tknowyouwereinclusiveofgenderqueeruntilIgottothesubmissionspage,possiblyincludingsomethingre:beinginclusiveofgenderqueerindividuals(andnotjustciswomen)onthe"AboutRoom"pagewouldbereallywonderful.Youincludeitasaquestiononyourfaq,soI'mjustsuggestingyoumakeitobviousenoughthatitdoesn'thavetobeapartofthefaq.(Alsointhefaqyouincludequeerbutnotgenderqueer/nonbinary--queerisoftenassociatedwithsexualitymorethangender,soitmightbegoodtoexplicitlymentiongender,sincethat'swhatyou'redealingwith)

IbelieveRoom'scollectivemodelandguesteditorsissolidintermsofensuringdiversity.MoreguesteditorsthataretranswomenandWoCwouldexciteme,andIwouldcertainlypromoteRoommoreandmorethemorediversityIsee.IfRoomhadunlimitedresources,IwouldsuggestamentorshipprogramtoengageemergingorbrandnewWoCandtranswomenwriters.
