Message from the President If you are like me, you may see that our Shul is once again asking for funds during our Yom Kippur Appeal and roll your eyes, and ask, “again?” It’s only natural, and yes, I understand. Yom Kippur is a time of ,למעלה מן הטבע or rising “above the norm.” As we face Yom Kippur, it is imperative to go beyond what we normally do so that we may ask Hashem for complete forgiveness. Seen is the incredible work and boundless energy of the many volunteers who made Rosh HaShanah meaningful in this difficult year. Unseen is the large added cost of making our shul safe, accessible and welcoming for our you. The Yomim Noraim season are the most important budgetary weeks of the year. One is not “buying a seat” but rather staking claim to responsibility as a member of the shul that we are able to proceed and to continue to grow! This is a co-op. You are an owner who must invest! This שבת שובה let us reach even deeper to help our beloved Shul, and to rise above the norm. In this tremendous merit, may הקב"הanswer our תפילות, and
rid us of this מגפה, so that we may return in full force to the Shomrei Emunah we love! גוט שבת וגמר חתימה טובהKenny

notation in the memo space.
• Old City Fund by writing a check to the Bernard Yaffe Tzedakah Fund, with a

In the zechus of our generosity, may this eis tzara end soon and may we all be
