Province Unveils Housing Supply Action Plan
The Ontario government has announced their comprehensive Housing Supply Action Plan, which is intended to cut red tape; build more housing, including the right mix of housing types; and increase the number of affordable homes.
Branded as "More Homes, More Choice," the Action Plan changes are meant to increase supply and deal with the housing affordability challenges as the government is looking to amend 13 government Acts. For the complete news release, please click here.
TREB applauds the government for taking this action. We look forward to continue working with the government and reporting on the progress to TREB Members as this Plan moves into its implementation phase.

Thank You for Attending TREB FEST 2019 A BIG THANK YOU to each Member who attended TREB FEST 2019, held on Wednesday, May 1 at Airship37 in downtown Toronto.
This year, ticket sales helped support a great cause by raising $10,000 for Easter Seals Ontario, a charitable organization that helps kids with physical disabilities succeed.
TREB FEST 2019 also offered Members in attendance an unforgettable spring evening with their fellow REALTORS®. The night’s festivities included handwriting analysis, henna artistry, and tarot card readings.

Best Practices: Canada’sAnti-Spam Legislation (CASL) – What You Need to Know
If you currently use, or you’re planning to use, electronic messages to promote your business to consumers and/or prospect clients, you must familiarize yourself with your compliance obligations pertaining to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to:
• Avoid significant financial penalties;
• Prevent potential investigations as a result of consumers reporting violations; and
• Ensure you are operating your business on the right side of the law.
CASL only regulates commercial electronic messages that relate to the sale or promotion of a product, service and/or business.
Before you promote a product or service to a consumer using electronic messages, such as email, CASL requires that you must obtain either explicit or implied consent.
