Program for qualified Frisco residents to participate in City of Frisco

recreation programs and special events. Scholarships may not be applied

to Frisco Athletic Center memberships. For detailed information and to

download an application, go to FriscoFun.org. The application deadline for

Spring programs is Friday, December 19 at 5 p.m.

Online RegistrationRegister for activities at your convenience 24 hours a day, seven days a week! Log on to FriscoFun.org and click on the Online Registration tab on the home screen. Account Password and Login ID• If you have registered for a class/program through the City of

Frisco Parks and Recreation Department since October 1, 2007 or you are member of the Frisco Athletic Center, you already have an Account Password and Login ID.

• If we have your e-mail address on file, you can use the “Forgot My Password” function in the “My Account” tab. Your information will be immediately sent to you through your e-mail account.

•You may also stop by the Customer Service window at the Frisco Athletic Center to retrieve your Password and Login ID. Please bring a photo ID or your Frisco Athletic Center membership card. Personal information will not be given out over the phone.

• If you do not already have an account with us you may apply online by completing our online account application form. Your Account PIN and Login ID(s) will be sent to you by e-mail by within 24 hours.

• Stop by the Customer Service window at the Frisco Athletic Center and one of our staff will be happy to create an account for you. Your Account PIN and Login ID(s) will be provided immediately.

Walk-in RegistrationRegister in person at Frisco Athletic Center during regular hours of operation. Customer service Representatives can answer your questions and help you find the perfect class or event. Bring a photo ID for new accounts.

Parent & Child Class PolicyThe “Parent and Child” classes are designed for direct interaction between one parent and one child. We allow only children who are of the appropriate age and are registered for the class to attend the program. Other siblings or children will not be permitted in the classroom or allowed to be left unattended in the lobby outside of the class.

Waiting List PolicyDue to instructor to participant ratios, each class has a maximum number of spots available. Once the class maximum has been reached, subsequent registrants have the option to be placed on a waiting list. Program openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis from the waiting list. Waitlisted participants given a reserved spot must register and pay in person at the Frisco Athletic Center within 24 hours of the initial call. Please insure that the main contact phone number and email address on the account is correct.

CancellationsThe Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any course, program or activity. In the event a course is cancelled, you will be notified and a full refund will be issued to your FAC account. The account credit may be used for other courses or refunded according the Refund Policy.

In the event the Parks & Recreation Department cancels a day of class due to inclement weather or other circumstance, you will be given either a make-up day option or a credit equal to prorated class day amount on your FAC account. The account credit may be used for other programs or refunded according the Refund Policy.

Withdrawal & Transfer PolicyWithdrawal Request:•All approved withdrawals will be assessed a 20% processing fee.•Withdrawal forms will only be considered if received at least 10

days prior to course start date with the exception of medical requests.

•Convenience charges paid online will not be reimbursed.Transfer Request:•Transfer requests will only be considered if received at least 10

days before the start date of the currently registered course with the exception of medical requests.

•Requested transfer class must have open spots and be in the current Fun Guide.

• If a transfer is not available, and the participant chooses to withdraw from the class, request is subject to Withdrawal Policy above.

• If transfer is to a higher priced class, price difference must be paid before transfer can be completed.

•Medical Withdrawal and Transfer Requests:•Written documentation from a physician’s office must accompany

the Withdrawal or Transfer Request. •Request form must be received within 72 hours of the first

missed class. •A 20% processing fee applies to all approved withdrawals and

the refund will be pro-rated if the withdrawal occurs during the course.

•Convenience charges paid online will not be reimbursed.

Refund Policy•Credit card refunds can only be obtained in person at the Frisco

Athletic Center and will be credited to the same type of credit card.

•Cash and check payments can only be refunded by check, which can take approximately 4 weeks. All refund checks will be mailed.

•Refunds on payments made by check will be held 30 days past the initial purchase date before being submitted for processing.

•All account credits and refunds are subject to approval by the Parks and Recreation Department and subject to the applicable pro-ration and processing fees.

•Under no circumstances will a cash refund be provided. • FAC account credits are good for 1 year from the date of issue.•Convenience charges paid online will not be reimbursed.

ARTSDrawing Instructor Valeriya Veron helps aspiring artists create portraits of people and animals with pencils and other mediums in Drawing I. Students learn contour drawing, shading, composition, perspective and more. Students advance their drawing skills in Drawing II with the introduction to art principles such as proportions, multi-figure compositions, sketching and color combinations using both oil pastels and watercolor pencils. Supplies are mandatory for the first day of class. EDUCATIONAmerican Red Cross: Babysitter’s Training CourseGain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to children and infants when you become a Certified Babysitter. Students will develop leadership skills, learn how to start a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, and learn basic child care, CPR and first aid. Frisco Tennis School - USTA Team TennisThis is a national youth tennis league that lets players test skills in actual match play, with competitions on

Sunday afternoons that include singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Home matches will be played at Warren Sports Complex and away matches will be played in Prosper at Reynolds Middle School. League champions

will compete against the winner of the Denton league. League fee includes an orientation practice at the beginning of the season and an end of season party with pizza and carnival games. Teams are coed

and need a minimum of four players and can have up to eight players. If players sign up individually, every effort will be made to place them on a team, but we cannot guarantee available spots at every

age/level. USTA membership is required and is not included in the class fee. USTA membership is currently $20. Beginner and intermediate levels welcome. Learn To Swim - Preschool (3-5 yrs.)The earlier a child becomes comfortable in water, familiar with safety precautions, and introduced to the basics of beginner swimming, the better prepared they will be around pools, lakes, and other aquatic environments. Sign up to have you or your child’s swimming skills assessed for free by one of our American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors. The instructors will spend one-on-one time with each registered participant to evaluate their current swimming level and discuss developmental swimming goals.

Registration is required to participate in the free assessment. Two siblings may register together for the same assessment time. The assessment will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Assessments are available Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm - 7pm. A swimsuit is required and goggles are strongly recommended.

Our certified instructors will teach the skills required to make swimming a more rewarding and enjoyable experience. Sessions include four, 30-minute private lessons. Indoor PoolThe Easter Bunny invites you to splash around the pool as you hunt for toy-filled eggs. Admission incudes: egg hunt, themed arts and crafts, swim pass for the day and a special treat from the Easter bunny. Don’t forget to bring your cameras!

A mesh bag will be provided to collect all your eggs in the pool, but remember to bring your own basket to take them home with you.

All 7 and 8 year olds are required to be in a life jacket and will receive one at check-in. Ages 9 and 10 will have the option to wear a lifejacket.
