ari is the firm’s chief European economist, responsible for the Goldman Sachs economic researchproduct and forecasts across the region. Priorto assuming his current role, he led the firm'sresearch on the global economy. Previously,Jari worked in the US Economics Group inNew York for six years. He joined GoldmanSachs in 2010 and was named managingdirector in 2013. Earlier in his career, Jari worked as aneconomist at the International MonetaryFund in Washington, DC. Jari served as a member of the Council ofEconomic Advisors to the UK governmentfrom 2018 to 2019. Jari earned a first-class honors degree andan MPhil in Economics from Trinity Hall,Cambridge University, and a PhD inEconomics from Brasenose College,University of Oxford.
