Today you will be making ping pong paddles and playing table tennis! Materials Cardboard (cereal box, shoe box, any leftover pieces) Scissors Pencil Markers, Crayons Tape Paddle template (provided) Ping pong ball Step 1: Grab any type of cardboard you have around. (Ask first if you can use it) If you do not have any cardboard, try using a cereal box or cardstock. Step 2: Trace the template onto your material and carefully cut it out. Ask a parent to help since cardboard is tough. You will need a paddle for each player. Step 3: Tape the handle of your paddle so you do not get any paper cuts. Today you will be making ping pong

paddles and playing table tennis!

Step 4: Now that you have your paddles get ready to play. Clear off a table or even a space on the floor. For one player, get near a wall. Step 5: Make a short wall with the extra cardboard or cardstock. Tape it down the middle of your play area. You can even use books.

Now you are ready to play a match!

1 player You will need to be close to a wall. You will hit the ball making it bounce off the wall. You need to try and keep bouncing the ball without missing. Keep track of how many hits you make. Try to beat your score. 2 players One person will serve: hit the ball to the other side. The other player must try and hit the ball back over. If either person misses or does not hit the ball over the other player gets a point. First player to 7 points wins.
