  • The changing Face of Engineering

Engineering has evolved over the years, and at times there were only a few engineering colleges in

the country which can be counted on fingers and only meritorious students get through those

colleges clearing the cut offs and a tough competition.

Engineering colleges now are available in abundance and many will agree to the fact that today it is

easier to get admission in a private engineering college as compared to a reputed college offering

Bsc. Or B.com degree, as they require a minimum percentage to appear and clear the exams.

Private engineering colleges and institutions are available in abundance and offer many courses and

streams to students. However with the easy entrance and lower cut offs to clear these colleges

takes students who have scored as low as 45% in their 12th. Thus the quality of Engineer developed

is compromised and only the degree is available.

But you can still found reputed Engineering colleges other than the IITs and even apart from NITs

which are offering quality technical education and are a preferred choice of students for pursuing

    their engineering.

Some of the best Engineering colleges of Mumbai apart from the IITs and NITs are:-

    Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute

    Thadomal Shahani Engineering College

    Sardar Patel College of Engineering
