2019 CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

The Spring Flower Show 2019 represents an exciting new departure for the Cornwall Garden Society in that we are moving the show to the Royal Cornwall Showground at Wadebridge. It offers major advantages in terms of space for exhibition of entries, trade stands, access, parking and other facilities.

I have every confidence that under the leadership of Andrew Leslie, Chairman of the Show Committee and Dickie Trant, the Show Director, this year will be a great success. The Competitive Classes are of course at the heart of the show; and it is to you, the exhibitors, to whom we are indebted for your participation, and the work that goes into it. I much look forward to welcoming you to Wadebridge.

Sir Robert OwenChairman – Cornwall Garden Society

ENTERING COMPETITIVE CLASSES

You do not have to be a member of the Society to enter

Read through the Schedule and decide the classes that you would like to enter. If you would like advice contact the Entries Secretary (Fay Mann 01872 870098) and she will put you in touch with the relevant expert.

Take a walk around your garden about a month before the Show and if you decide to exhibit, fill in the Horticultural Exhibits Entry Form in the centre of the Schedule and return it. We will confirm your entry and provide an Exhibitor’s Number which will give you free entry to the Show.

For Floral Art, Photography and Children’s Classes please use the separate appropriate Entry Forms in the centre of the Schedule and note that they may have different deadline dates.

If two or more family members would like to enter then please use separate Entry Forms.

Please make sure that your Entry Form is returned on time – read the Timetable and Conditions in the Schedule carefully – we reach full capacity in many of the classes by the closing dates and late entries cannot be accepted due to limited space. There are no fees to enter exhibits in the Competitive Classes.

DEADLINE FOR ALL HORTICULTURAL ENTRIES THURSDAY 28TH MARCH 2019On receipt of your Entry Form you will receive an acknowledgment together with your Exhibitor’s Number and Species Cards for naming your Exhibits if known. Further advice on parking and staging will be included. When you arrive to stage your exhibits there will be Stewards to help you if required. Vases, water and preparation tables will be provided for horticultural entries.
