We were finally able to formally recognize in person the great work of a number of our members and also conduct the installation of four new Knights of the Order of San Jacinto. In addition, Steve Manis’ work on improving our application instructions was approved by the executive Committee and will appear soon on our Web site and be included in our procedures manual when it is republished. More details of the meeting can be found in this Texian. On September 11th we conducted our Quarterly Meeting in Huntsville. Thanks to Ron McAnear and the Yoakum Chapter for hosting the social and dinner Friday evening. Thanks also to Randy Pollard, KSJ and the folks at San Houston State University Walker Center for arranging for our meeting space. At the meeting we heard an update on the Battleship Texas project. It appears she will be moved to a dry dock in Galveston for repairs in February. The Executive Committee also approved the wording of a new SRT proclamation focused on encouraging the truthful publication of Texas history. See page 3 of this Texian. We were also able to recognized George Nelson as the 2020 District Representative of the year. The SRT conducted the annual Texian Navy Day celebration at San Jacinto on September 18th. Our next quarterly meeting will be held at the Marriott in Victoria on December 4th. Thanks again to all. Kenneth W. PRESIDENT GENERAL’S MESSAGEGentlemen,

Thanks to all that attended our July 31st Annual Meeting in San Antonio celebrating 99 years of The Sons of the Republic of Texas.
