HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?The entire application process will take approximately three weeks. All parties will be notified of the hearing outcome in writing, within three working days from the hearing date. If applicable, you may also receive a referral letter for counselling.
WILL MY APPLICATION DEFINITELY BE SUCCESSFUL?The final decision to grant the Order/Visit Limit lies with the Committee of Assessors. The Committee may, at any stage, move to dismiss any application it deems frivolous.
WHAT IF IMMEDIATE EXCLUSION FROM THE CASINOS IS NEEDED?If an applicant is able to prove that the respondent has caused, or continues to cause, serious harm to family members, the Committee of Assessors may issue a Provisional Family Exclusion Order to exclude the respondent from the casinos for the interim pending the outcome of the application.

Third-Party Casino Visit Limit will be imposed on individuals who are frequent local casino patrons who are deemed to be financially vulnerable.
There is no need to apply for a Third-Party Casino Exclusion or Visit Limit. To revoke a Third-Party Visit Limit, call NCPG at 6354-8154.

WHY SHOULD I APPLY FOR CASINO EXCLUSION OR VISIT LIMIT?Problem gambling is harmful and can lead to serious consequences for both gamblers and their families. Applying for a Casino Exclusion or Visit Limit can help to control an excessive gambling habit.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR A FAMILY EXCLUSION OR VISIT LIMIT?Only immediate family members can apply, i.e. spouses, children (including adoptive/step-children), parents (including adoptive/step-parents) and siblings (including adoptive/step/half-siblings).
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A FAMILY EXCLUSION OR VISIT LIMIT?Call the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1800-6-668-668.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN APPLICANT AND A RESPONDENT?An applicant is any family member who applies for Family Exclusion or Visit Limit.
A respondent is usually the person against whom the application is being made.
WHO MUST ATTEND THE HEARING?All Applicants and Respondents who wish to contest the application must attend the hearing. Both parties will be given the opportunity to present their case before a Committee of Assessors.
WHICH TYPE OF CASINO EXCLUSION OR VISIT LIMIT SHOULD I APPLY FOR?We encourage you to apply for Self-Exclusion or Voluntary Visit Limit and take personal responsibility for resolving the harm caused by problem gambling. You should apply for a Family Exclusion or Visit Limit if your family member is unwilling to address or confront his/her gambling issues.
IS THERE AN APPLICATION FEE?No, all Self-Exclusion, Voluntary Visit Limit, and Family Exclusion and Visit Limit applications are free.
