If we could consider each other

A neighbour, a friend or a brother

It would be a wonderful world

It would be a wonderful world (CHORUS)

If each little kid had fresh milk each day

If each old soul had some place to stay

If each working man had enough time to play

It would be a wonderful world . . . (CHORUS)

If there were no poor and the rich were content

If strangers were welcome wherever they went

If each of us knew what true brotherhood meant

It would be a wonderful world . . . (CHORUS)

If people all over would trust one another

Not thinking about their race or their colour

If they did agree to join hands altogether

It would be a wonderful world . . . (CHORUS)

If Tablers of India (fellowmen of WOCO) can properly plan

To do for their country whatever they can

If FELLOWSHIP brings about SERVICE to man

It would be a wonderful world . . . (CHORUS)

Tr.Ameet Mirpuri,Chairman, Vizag Round Table 77

Whatever you may do in life and in tabling, it is ultimately theintent that counts! If your intent is good and to do good thenthere is nothing that will come in your way that can be calledan obstacle! These are called learning phases... Lessons!

This year, we've started out and ended with only an intent to

do good! And I believe that we have done just that... it's been

a great learning this year as Chairman of Vizag Round Table

77! We as a team at the head table didn't carry on our heads

the fact that we had to live up to our long list of accom-

plished lineage, we didn't go after the fact that we had to

keep our table's head high.. We didn't work towards keeping

the reputation that 77 has built for itself over the years intact!

We just went out there with a good intent and had fun!!!

And then... All of these mentioned.. Just happened on theirown!!!

Many plans were made before we started and many plans

were changed while we were on this journey of 2011-2012!

Eager beavers that we were, we made sure we struck a bal-

ance between all the facets, we didn't want to do too much

nor too little... And now when we look back at the year gone

by... We are happy!!!

Happy to have been able to hold up the

flag of Round Table India to everyone we

met and tell them what we do...

Happy to have held up the respect of our

41ers and made sure they come up to us

and proudly pat our backs...

Happy to have our tablers, ladies and twinklers turn the page

back and say.. What a fun and meaningful year that was...

Happy to see the smiles on the faces of ALL the special chil-

dren who's lives we touched this year!!!

The annual report is something we will treasure forever

because it reminds us of the good times had and becomes

a memory that we will carry with us always!

Is it the boombastic fellowship, is it our recently acquired first

ever international award - the Asia pacific award for best fel-

lowship table, is it the informative and innovative HRD, is it

the mind boggling publicity or is it the true to the heart serv-

ice to the under privileged we did this year.. We don't know..

Thats all just reports.. Like I said..

And for the tenth time this year I'll say it again... If it's not fun...

It's just not tabling!!!

Tr. Siddharth KaranChairman, Area 9, Round Table India

Dear Chairman Ameet , Secretary Sandeep Chitra and

friends of VRT 77. Congrats on your AGM and a successful

year gone by.

It was indeed a pleasure being your area chairman this year

. I shall always cherish the phenomenal support of the VRT

family that I received during my tenure.

It was an honor to have walked amongst stalwarts like Hari

anna, Anand, Sisir and Deepak and to have enjoyed their

unstinted support . Thank you gentlemen !

Friends , VRT 77 has yet again proven itself as one the most

vibrant tables of Area 9 and true to its character - THE fel-

lowship table .

Under the table leadership of chairman Ameet, the table has

successfully inaugurated the Vasantha Bala school - con-

grats !

I have had the pleasure of having 3 tablers of 77 in my board

in addition to the rocking chairman -( 2 on the head board

itself ) Tr Deepak - our IPC ( and now the big man NST ) and

Tr Doc Raghu - the fantastic AST and Tr Sandy Chow - our

extension convener.

Deepak our IPC has been a solid support through the year -

a true friend . Your unanimous win for the post of NST is tes-

timony to your leadership skills . Now , with him at the core

team of WAH INDIA - we look forward to yet another unfor-

gettable event . . Here's wishing you even greater success

!!

Raghu - the AST - doc you were the finest we ever had . Truly,

the backbone of the area .Not only were you a great AST but

have set very high standards as the National Go Green

Convener ! Kudos !!

Sandy - you were right when you said "

The Strength of Area 9 is ……Very Strong

" Brilliant show buddy !

Anand and Sisir - it was an honor to have you as the Jewel

and AHT this year . I shall always be grateful for the unbiased

advice and support that I received from you guys.

77 has yet again proven to the fellowship kings of the Area -

a plethora of fellowships throughout the year each one

unique and fun filled . Little surprise that Chairman Ameet is

now the National Fellowship Convener . Looking forward to

yet another fun filled year .

The highlight of the year was ,of course , the Project Smile -

which has bought the area and the RTI great pride and

stature . Congrats for a fantastic job !

Gentlemen - you have done it all !!........ A brilliant year !!

Looking forward to seeing you all ( in good numbers ) at the

Area AGM in Hyderabad.

The RTInt AGM " Wah India " - the biggest event of the move-

ment is happening in our area . It gives us a superb oppor-

tunity to interact with international tablers in our own back-

yard - an opportunity which we will not get again in the fore-

seeable future . Urge you all to register in good numbers and

make it a huge success .

Here's wishing the incoming chairman , the big man himself

- Doc Raghu ,all the best - in whose capable and experi-

enced hands , am sure , the table will reach even greater

heights.

Cheers and God Bless!!

ADDRESS BY THE OUTGOING CHAIRMAN :

Tr.Dharmaraju Cheruku

This has been a fantastic year. The reason was mainly because of the choice of the Conveners. The have been the best.

All the facets were well covered. Right from HRD, Community Service, Supply house, greeting cards, not to forget the

Fellowship. After a span of 5 years, we have done a fabulous project. The whole VRT-77 Family enjoyed the Inauguration

of Paderu School Project.

This year Publicity was tremendous. Most of the events were double or triple faceted. Parent's Day and Marikvalsah School

Painting were closest to my heart. Because it involved the Ladies and Kids. Everyone had a great time.

The Icing of the cake was the Extension. This year we did the Charter of VVRT and Inauguration of VKRT. I can proudly say

that I am the only Chairman in the whole of RTI to do two in a year. Some might think that I am selfish to exhaust the bal-

ances in the Admin and Community Service. But I strongly believe that not spending the same and keeping it in the bank

will not make it grow. We need to spend it and again create it.

I wish Tr. Ameet a Great Year ahead and just want to tell him that I am available 24 x 7. This year will also be my last year

in Tabling and I want to cherish it for life.

INVESTITURE OF THE JEWEL:

LMF Tr.Kiran invested the jewel on Tr.Ameet Mirpuri to be the new Chairman of Vizag Round Table 77 for the Year 2011-

2012.

Every year, a Chairman comes in looking at new ideas, better ideas, how to take things to a new level in their table

and how to make a difference. And Here i was... just hoping that i would be able to MAINTAIN what my table has

achieved till date!

myself... Next is WHAT?!!! The seeds have already been sown - Wait and watch!!!

major RTI events, area events we intend to conduct, meetings, socials, birthdays, anniversaries - so you can't make

excuses about forgetting your wife's birthdays anymore!

night but there's a lot more than that to come…

And finally… we're going online!!!.... Yes… www.rt77.in WILL be going live this year.

This year We want to think OUT OF THE BOX.. we want to innovate... we want to create! So the plans may be BIG,

29th Annual Report 2011-12

As I start addressing the Tabling fraternity before I lay down my jewel as the Secretary of VRT

77, the first thought that crosses my mind is that In Sailor’s talk... I'd call it 'smooth sailing'...

I've received unconditional support from every Tabler at 77 and great encouragement from

every member of the wonderful National and Area Board ! Tablers across the country whom

I don't even know have reached out to me, to us after reading our Meeting Minutes.

Thanks to all the Conveners who did an awesome job this year which made my work look

worthwhile. Every event pertaining to a particular facet was planned & executed in such a very organised way, all I had to

do was just put it together and keep minuting them. I believe that it is truly my luck to have a Chairman like Ameet who was

my mentor & guide throughout the year in helping me do my job. The table made a remarkable track record in all the facets

this year. I would like to personally congratulate Chairman Ameet for his excellent leadership skills and taking the Table for-

ward in all facets with a dedicated spirit of team-work and motivation.

It was a year power packed with a battery of events which were not only meaningful but fun filled also.

Someone (my buddy robert ;) Haha) said ' I've got miles to go before I sleep...' he was so right. On a serious note, as I start-

ed penning down my Annual report I was filled with a mixed bag of emotions as it was truly an honour to be serving as the

Secretary of VRT-77, a pride I shall carry to my grave. I always treated the Secretaryship as a position of responsibility not

as a power. And I proudly hold my head and say that the interest of my Table was never compromised upon even once, on

any occasion. During this year I have discovered abilities within me which I could never imagine and which helped me in

developing my writing skills. These are a quite euphoric moments which I would cherish forever.

I wish Good Luck to the Incoming Team and am sure they will keep the 77 flag flying higher & higher.

Administration at VRT-77

During this year all practices have been carried out as per the guidelines laid out in the blue book of RTI.

Meetings:

On the Administration front, regular meetings have been held. A total of 24 meetings were held in this year. We had 1 joint

meeting this year one with VVRT-213 on the occasion of SEVEN, Area 9 AGM. Notices for the meetings were given well in

advance and they usually started on time. The stipulated quorum for the meetings was strictly adhered to.

Attendance:

Attendance in the year was satisfactory as far as the meetings were concerned, with an average attendance of 81% and 5

tablers had an attendance of 100% without credits and 11 tablers had a 100% attendance with credits.

We had good attendance of tablers in meetings of other tables also.

Communication with the NEX and AEX:

Communication channels with the NEX and AEX have been maintained on a regular basis, all the minutes of the meetings

were sent within 24 hours after the conclusion of the meetings. All the Communications being received from the NEX, AEX

and other tables were sent to the tablers via the email on a regular basis.

Minutes were sent across the NEX, AEX, all the Area Chairmen and all the Secretaries in India.

All the Convener reports were sent on a monthly basis to the concerned National, Area Conveners & Table Secretaries all

over the Country.

I sincerely thank the Chairman and my fellow Tablers for their wonderful support throughout the year.

29th Dec : Novotel (Post Business Meeting)

Our 13th Business meet was at Ameet's new property -

Novotel.

3311sstt DDeecc :: New Years eve at Novotel - Joint fellowship

Although the program was not too spunky at the hotel, the

tablers made up for it by adding their own spunk to it and

having a blast along with the Vikings to bring in the new year

2012!!!

33rrdd JJaann 22001122:: The First Fellowship of 2012 had to be big. So

was it. It was at the beach side, The Park. It was a simple

Fellowship - not a social nor a meeting . . . . just Fellowship.

There was a large Community Desk with benches around it

where Tablers, Ladies and Kids sat, sang, played and had

fun talking, gossiping and pulling each other's legs.

5th Jan 2012: The Battalion took off for the 50th NAGM

to Chennai.

Howrah Madras Mail left Vizag at 2 pm. The party started

instantly. HT Aanand Khara came to the station to see us off.

There were Tablers from VVRT 213 and VKRT 225.

6th Jan 2012: NEX @ Chennai

Guess what was the room number allotted to Sq Leg Hari

Anna and Tr Sandeep Choudhari - Room No 77. This room

had become the Haven for the Tablers of Visakhapatnam as

all the Booze, Snacks and Gadgets(Speakers & Music),

Cards, etc were stacked here.

Frankly speaking NEX was only to get credits. First we all had

a Aromatic Massage at the Spa. Then came the Pool. What a

Fellowship - Infinity pool overlooking the Bay of Bengal , beer

and Sun. The only thing out of proportion to this beautiful setup

was 5 Hairy Chest, Overweighed Tablers inside the pool.

The Lunch - Moonrackers. THE BEST SEA FOOD in CHEN-

NAI. We Cycled our way to this place. The food was inverse-

ly proportionate to the place. Yummy food and people were

polishing the plates. The food served was amazing….

The Evening Party was the psychedelic theme. We all wore

our Equalizer T-shirts from the last AAGM. Most of the peo-

ple did not bring the batteries. The TV Remotes in the

Rooms came to rescue. The Party was at a Farm House and

DJ Iawin was playing the Trance and we all were grooving

and grinding to it.

COM for Fellowships. And then the BIG One - BEST TABLE

MAGAZINE AWARD - Our Pearl turned out to be the Mother

of all Pearls. Then came the Award for Extension.

The Evening Party was on Beach. We were all dressed in

White Shirts painted with Pink and Shorts. We all were look-

ing outstanding and highlighted. With the Spirits high and

music loud, we rocked hard and even more harder. We were

all over the place - on the stage, off the stage, in the centre,

in the corner - but wherever we went there were people to

follow and dance with us. We reached back to our hotel at

2:30 am. What the Hell - we wanted to party more, drink

more, sing more and get into the pool at that time. Tr Utkarsh

had booked a Villa with a Private Pool. So we all jumped

inside the chilled water with our drinks. We sang the song -

Chaar bajgaye lekin party abhi baaki hai - Literally. We could

see dawn and then decided to sleep. I don't know what hap-

pen, but I found myself sleeping in a Hammock on the

Beach.

29th Annual Report 2011-12

Here is the detailed report of the activities this year:

15th Aug : Independence Day Celebrations

We had a Marathon of events starting from 7.30 am

onwards.. Tablers met at Tycoon and from there we went to

2Karasa... Chairman Ameet gave an awesome speech in

Telugu. The Principal of Timpany School spoke that it was an

Honour to have their Ex-student Tr.Ameet for their I'day

Celebrations. He also received the Guard of Honour from

the Students. Spl.Inv.Harikrishna gave a speech and later we

distributed sweets, pencil boxes, books and pencils,

From there we went to Marikavalasa.... all the kids were wait-

ing for us.

Special thanks to Sukku for helping in getting the bags and

Sangeetha in bringing the bags to the School and Deepak in

getting the sweets for a good price. The bags were distrib-

uted at the Theosophical Society School.

It was a nice experience for all of us at Karasa, Marikvalsa

and Theosophical Society School,

Total tune of I’day expenses was Rs. 43,000/-

3rd Sept :

Though so many of us might think what is this donating

Slippers....

Just imagine the plight of small kids bare foot who are not

even 8years coming to school with lots of school books on

their backs and crossing all the dirt and stones.

This really moved our lovely lady Reena when we were dis-

tributing school bags on the I. day. First thing what she did

was called the Chairman and explained him about the kids.

Without hesitation Chairman said we have been giving lots

of books, bags, dresses and what not to kids so why can't

we give them good foot wear. We distributed 125 pairs to all

the little ones of the Karasa School. The Smile we see in the

kids wearing the foot wear and running here and there is

worth all the effort.

RTI WEEK 2011-12 @ VIZAG ROUND TABLE 77

This year the theme for the RTI week at Vizag Round Table

77 was "COLOURS OF LIFE". We had started off the RTI

week with each colour of the rainbow observed on one day

and do things which that colour signifies.

Colour is a powerful and important communication tool, and

it is tied to religious, cultural, political and social influences.

By stopping to consider what each colour represents and is

linked to in the 'real world' we can design decisions that

ensure we appeal to our target audience.

Each and every facet of tabling was covered in these seven

days, fellowship and community service as the forerunners,

we had our share of publicity, HRD/ LAPD, twinklers activi-

ties, activities for the 41ers, Go green etc. Even before the

RTI week took off, we had huge publicity in the form of press

releases in more than 10 newspapers about the plans for the

RTI week.

With almost 3.25 lakh of rupees spent during this RTI week

on various community service activities and most important-

ly the time spent by each and every tabler and lady, it had

been a gratifying experience to all of us at VRT:77. In the

course of this one week, 25 cleft lip and palate surgeries

were performed on underprivileged kids under the banner of

ices included donation of group HAS machine along with

wheel chairs and walking aids at the RCD hospital, installa-

tion of the water purifying system at the Missionaries of char-

ity and donating Braille slates at the Madhurawada blind

and running here and there is worth all the effort.

Osteoporosis is a "Silent killer" in medical parlance.

Almost one in three urban Indian women past the age of 45

have osteoporosis, a disease that makes bones fragile and

fracture-prone.

It was our endeavor at Vizag Round Table 77 and Vizag

Knights Round Table 225 to create an awareness amongst

the public, especially the urban poor population and help

them tackle and prevent this grave danger, both the tables

together conducted a free bone density check up camp on

the 11th of October at the GITAM university health center

which caters to the urban and sub-urban poor population as

a part of our community services initiative.

A total of 134 needy patients were covered in this camp out

of which 96 people needed active intervention and immedi-

ate orthopaedic intervention. They were all given free con-

sultation and a month's supply of medication. They were all

given free dietary and medical advice.

It was a wonderful experience as we donated a commercial

gas stove to the sunflower specially abled children's school

in Madhurwada. Thank you Tr.Shrawan and Reena for con-

tributing towards it along with Tr.Ameet !

Sunflower School, we had successfully completed one more

service at Sunflower school. We've donated 3 cots worth

ended with beer at Mt. Lavinia, though we did order some dinner just to break the monot-

A few words from... Tr. Kiran CherukuIPC/IRO/Projects Convenor, Vizag Round Table 77

Its almost been 11 years in Tabling and it has become a part and

parcel of my life.

I joined when Vizag Round Table 77 was in the beginning of its

second phase , I was not in the total 14 inductions which hap-

pened in that year, I was the immediate next guy. It was com-

pletely a new beginning and none of us knew each other.

Gradually, we begun to know each other and then eventually

finding out what is Tabling. The bonding took us more than a

year, It took us atleast 3 years to know what is what in Tabling.

Satte Pe Satta AGM made us a close knit bunch. From then

onwards there was no looking back.

Today, I feel proud and happy to say Vizag Round Table 77 is one

of the most happening Table through out RTI. I feel proud to say

that I was one of the member who contributed my blood and

soul for the development of VRT 77. But, whatever name I have

achieved today in the Society, its because of Vizag Round Table

77. It's a dream come true for all of us to see VRT 77 in this posi-

tion and hope to see this will grow bigger and brighter in the

coming years.

My eleven years in Tabling went by so fast….I still remember the

day I was bombarded by the Sergeant on my induction and by

default the tradition continued by the rest of the guys…..

I had a lot of arguments with many of my Tablers in my Tabling

career, but each and every argument brought us closer. We all

knew that whatever argument we had, was only an issue based.

Trust me, these guys have become my life now. Past 11 years,

my life was just revolving around Tabling and Tablers and it

would continue till my last breath, maybe not as a Tabler but as

a Friend for Life. That's the beauty that Tabling has given me. To

be Honest I got more out of Tabling

than what I did for Tabling.

Yes there were some tense moments

as well as some hilarious ones in my

Tabling life. The most hilarious and

tense moment (irony being both

being the same). Our train journey

from Mumbai to Pune when we went

to the National AGM held at Mumbai in 2006. I will never forget

the help done by my Tablers. These guys have become my

strength and weakness too.

The best years were when I took up the Chairmanship in 2009

and again in 2011. It was a boon for me. It's an Honour very

rarely a Tabler gets and that too becoming a Chairman of the

most happening table of RTI. As the Chairman I enjoyed learn-

ing the tricks of the trade and in the second year it was my good

luck that I was able to locate the right guys for the right

job…..The second year was a cake walk for me, the Table hav-

ing won the maximum awards in the Area and a whooping 7

Awards in the National AGM at Chennai. I really felt I justified my

duty.

These 11 years have taught me so many good things in life,

Today I feel happy and proud that I too did my bit for a good

cause.

I thank my wife Manjeera for encouraging me to join in this

Tabling movement and also supporting me all these wonderful

years….especially the two years when I took up the

Chairmanship.
