Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships Booking Procedure

The County Ground, Beckenham is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships.

We can accommodate weddings from 10 to 200 people.

The charge at The County Ground for your ceremony to take place is £150.00.

(This is exclusive of the registrars fees)

The venue will provisionally agree a date and approximate time of the ceremony with the couple.

The ceremonies can be on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays subject to

availability of a Registration Team and of the venue.

The venue completes a ‘booking form’ showing the names, addresses and contact numbers of the couple and date and time of the ceremony

This ‘booking form’ will then be faxed or emailed, by the venue as an attachment to the

Register Office

When the fax or email is received, a provisional booking will be made in the diary for the

ceremony.

The ‘booking form’ will be faxed or emailed back to the venue by the Register Office as confirmation of the booking.

The Register Office will contact the couple and request a booking fee of £50 (deductable from

balance) and then write to the couple confirming the booking and giving them further instructions. This letter will tell them how to complete the legal preliminaries to their

ceremony – giving a notice of marriage or civil partnership - and about the collection and delivery of the authority from another Register Office if necessary. It will also give the fee for

attendance of the Superintendent Registrar and Registrar at the ceremony.

Late ceremonies (after 16:30 and up to 20:00): add £200 Marriages: the fee includes one handwritten certificate which will be presented to the couple. Civil partnerships: the fee includes one certificate which will be posted to the couple during the week following the ceremony. A commemorative certificate can be presented on the day at an additional cost of £8 (this must be requested and paid for in advance). Further certificates may be bought after the event for £7.00 whilst the register is in current use, rising to £10.00 when the register has been deposited with the Superintendent Registrar. When we have confirmed the booking with the venue, the couple will be contacted and asked to pay the £50 booking fee, when this is received a booking confirmation and information pack will be sent to them. The balance of fees is payable at least six weeks prior to the date of the ceremony.

Please note that we are happy to work with you on a bespoke wedding package should you wish to look at some different options. Our chef can also work with you on bespoke menus to suit your budget or taste All of our Wedding Packages are based on a minimum of 50 day guests
