The Year 1 students presented each of the Class of 2019 with a sash to commemorate their last year at school. It was a lovely ceremony. Megan Coles and Charm Bager delivered their Valedictory speech on behalf of the Year 12s at the Farewell Assembly, and Krystal Meakins gave a humorous and sentimental Valedictory speech at the Presentation Evening. They were such enjoyable speeches. Mr de Jongh had the honour of addressing the Assembly on behalf of the staff. The Class of 2019 will be missed. They have shown themselves to be some of the friendliest, kindest and warmest of Year 12s. Whilst some are heading into ATAR exams others are already into their apprenticeships and other forms of employment heading into the summer break. We wish our ATAR students well in their study. The effort they put in now will be rewarded. Thank you to special guests at the Presentation Evening – Ms Jessica Shaw, MLA Swan Hills, Annette Livesey representing the Attorney- General and MHR for Pearce, Mr Christian Porter, Mr Kevin Bailey, newly appointed Mayor of City of Swan, Ms Cate McCullough, Pearce Ward, City of Swan, Squadron Leader Richard Heith RAAF Pearce, Gingin and Learmonth Air Bases and Mrs Kyra Burns, Board Member. Were proud of our Year 12s and wish them a bright and happy future as they make their way in the wider world.

TERM 4/OCTOBER 2019 BULLSBROOK COLLEGE COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER 4

Congratulations to our Year 12s on completing their final year of schooling. And congratulations to their parents/guardians in helping them achieve this milestone.

It is important to acknowledge that while this is a time of excitement and celebration, it is also a time of significant change.

Our students will be leaving the safety, structure and support offered through our schooling system and transitioning into their adult lives. Some of our students will take to this new phase of life like a duck to water. Others may find the changes difficult to navigate at first.

We would like to encourage our Year 12s and their loved ones to keep an eye out for any warning signs suggesting they may be struggling to cope with these changes.

We have included some fact sheets from headspace for your reference. Please see:

We would like to wish all our Year 12s all the very best for the future.
