Abstract
The Editor-in-Chief of The Internet and Higher Education compiles for the last issue of each year’s
volume resources that may be useful for researchers, teachers, administrators, or students who wish to
locate information about the field of online learning and the uses of the Internet for instructional
delivery. Resources are organized into several categories.

1. Introduction
A goal of the quarterly journal, The Internet and Higher Education (INTHIG), is to
advance the theory and practice in online learning and the use of the Internet for
instructional delivery. The field of online learning is expanding, but useful information
about online learning is often disparate and difficult to find by merely searching the Internet.
A repository is needed for the field to organize and maintain an extensive resources list for
the area of online learning and the uses of the Internet for instructional delivery. Within the
past year, the Editor has collected numerous resources related to online learning environ-
ments that are organized under several categories. This article is an update to the resources
shared in INTHIG Volume 4, Number 2, 2001. These categories specifically include
conferences, journals/magazines/newsletters, useful websites and Web-accessible articles

and resources, and books and reports. This list is intended to be a starting point to gather
various materials and to eventually develop the list into an accessible online database of
OLE resources. Therefore, this is a ‘‘growing’’ document, intended to be accessible in
database form in the near future. The title of this work, ‘‘Editor’s Choice,’’ is given as a
means to recommend and highlight several resources that have been found to be useful.
Many of these resources will lead the reader or researcher to other comprehensive resources.
The goal is to update this list often and to share such resources with INTHIG readers in the
last issue of each year’s volume in print. Also, the Editor plans to organize and post the
updated resources on the INTHIG website, http://www.sbe.nova.edu/ihe. In the electronic
file on the website, all Web links will be available as live and accessible links.
If readers have additional resources to recommend to the Editor, please email them to:
Laurie P. Dringus, Editor-in-Chief, The Internet and Higher Education, at [email protected].
Please provide full citations of articles, books, book chapters, URLs, etc. in APA format, if
possible.
