What is Zinio?If you haven't used Zinio before or if you have a personal Zinio account but want to use the Library's access, you'll need to create an account that's tied to the Library.

Note: You MUST setup your accounts using a computer.

Once your two accounts are setup you can then switch to a mobile device. Later we will show you how to install and setup a Zinio Reader App.

Getting StartedGo to Hot Topic – Zinio eMagazines at http://hottopics.lvccld.org/zinio

Select the LVCCLD Zinio link and log in with your Library card number and PIN to access the library’s collection of magazines.

Step 1 – Library Zinio Account

Click on the Create Account button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Enter in the information requested.

Note: for users with a Zinio.com account already use the same email address and password.

Any magazines you purchased will also appear with the Library's Magazines in your Zinio.com account (Zinio Reader Account)

Congratulations you just created your

Library Zinio Account.

IMPORTANT

Always go to the Zinio webpage through the LVCCLD Zinio link on the Hot Topic – Zinio eMagazines http://hottopics.lvccld.org/zinio to choose your magazines.

You will then be able to download the titles you have chosen when you open up the Zinio app. (If you just search for titles within the app itself you will not see the magazines that the library offers to you for free!)

Step 2 – Checkout

Note: in the upper right corner you should see Welcome, Your First name.If you do not see your first name you are not yet logged so click on Login

1. Select a magazine to checkout by clicking on the magazine cover.

2. Click Complete Checkout

Zinio Reader

Now you will see the screen on the left, which is your Zinio Reader for reading magazines online.

You will be brought here every time you checkout a magazine.

The first time you must create your Zinio Reader Account. To create the account go to next slide..

Step 3 – Create Zinio Reader Account

Fill in the information requested using the SAME email address and password you used to create your Library Zinio Account.

Update preferences by unchecking the box if you don’t want a lot of email from Zinio

Click Register

MOBILE DEVICES

Do you want to use a tablet to read your magazines or read offline on a laptop? This comes in handy when reading on an airplane!

Zinio App

To enhance your magazine issue viewing experience, Apps are available for viewing magazines by downloading and reading offline. The same Zinio Reader Account is used for the app so your checked magazines.

Be sure to download your magazines into the app before getting on the airplane!

Download and InstallGo to your devices app store and download and install the free Zinio App.Laptop owners can install Desktop Reader - Zinio Reader 4 from http://www.zinio.com/www/apps/desktop.jsp

After the app is installed enter your Zinio Reader account information you created in Step 2.
